*Idea* The370z.com Motorsports Section
 

i'm looking for some feedback on idea i'm considering. i've already spoken with AK and he likes the idea, i'm just looking to expand it into a "make it what we want" idea.

therefore, i'm looking to you the members to find out what you would like to see in a dedicated professional motorsports section. the idea is simple. we are discussing a new section for the site that will simply be all about professional racing that involves the 370z world wide. this will be for press releases, team info, car info, driver interviews, (hopefully) part reviews from the teams, as well as pictures and profiles of the drivers. also, this will be where info about upcoming races in the various events the 370z is participating in as well as info on how to buy tickets, a place to post your pictures and share them with the other users, etc.

what do you think? i feel like a dedicated section would help these pro teams stand out on our forum, make them more accessible and get more information to the users where it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of all the other threads in the current Track/AutoX/Drag section.

Should make it a lot easier to follow how the Z has done in professional motorsports. Should definitely have a thread that shows all the races the Z has participated in and the results of those races.

I think it's a great idea, all the professional Z teams in one place :thumbsup:

I would like it too. I don't race but like reading about it and race footage is always nice.

im digging it.. and can we have maybe a sub forum for the semi-pro, and what not aswell?

what would define "semi-pro"? as in racing but not sponsored? SCCA/NASA non-pro level i guess? T2's etc? i'm not sure if would want to put all of that in there. i'll have to think about that...

because I am trying to do some entry level stuff this upcoming summer, at Road America.. and I would like to see other people who do stuff like that, not just track days type of stuff

i would think that would be ok for the Track/AutoX/Drag section we already have honestly. but i'm open to options

This section should be for the pros and the race teams. The regular track section is fine for that stuff Mu, IMO.

any other ideas, thoughts, comments or concerns?

I guess I willl wait till I get my track time and semi-pro status.. till then screw this idea.. it can go as a thread in the track section... just sayin :stirthepot:

Are we talking like a whole 'Section' Like the Prem section or the Lounge, or a sub-section like placed inside the Tech Area, or under the track/autox section, since that's Technically where it would go...

i believe we were talking about a dedicated section, that way it shows up on the main forum listing

How many "Pros" posts regularly? I think this a new section would be seriously lacking content.
