is this similar to the google redirect virus? my comp just got that last week
|
It isn't a virus, it is some sort of infiltration on google's servers... I never actually noticed it only happened via google but now I see. I got it again today when I was searching google and it led me to another forum.

I'm not sure if this is the right area to post, but does anyone get popups when trying to access this forum? I get these popups once in awhile specifically when going to this forum.
I've attached a picture so you can see what the popup looks like. I'm just curious if anyone is getting the same issue so I can fix the problem. |
Yes I've also have gotten those pop-ups lately. I noticed it about a couple of days ago.

I've experienced this on occasion lately coming on here and from what i understand it's an issue with google and is affecting many sites tied to google.
We had this issue once before it eventually got fixed but I guess its back unfortunately |
I get it too, on multiple computers, my phone, and my ipad. It is a security problem with the website, and how it works with google, not malware on our computers. I have seen it happen to other message boards too. The site admin needs to take care of it.

hmm, well maybe something to do with my google chrome having an ad blocker installed all this time as i have never seen this pop up before.

Has the370z.com been bugged?
Lately whenever I google something and the search result comes up with the370z.com, I'll click the link. But instead of being taken to the370z.com, it redirects me to url123.info/blahblahblah and gives me a popup about locked content and that I have to sign up to unlock it or something. I thought I had a virus on my computer until I started doing more research, and it seems that this only occurs on forums, not regular websites. I'm not an expert at this, but it sounds like the forums were contaminated with a redirect code, sort of like a virus.
My question is, has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible that our forum has been compromised? It's also doing it on my iPhone as well, so it's not something g with my computer. As far as I can remember its only with links to the forum, not Facebook or Break or any of the other sites I usually go to. Anyone else? Am I crazy? ...don't answer that. Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new-fangled science stuff |
true story. happened to me. someone forgot to pay the electric bill.
|
It's a common google redirect. Does occur occasionally with forum links. The most accurate conjecture is that it's malware which hasn't really been recognized by your antivirus yet. I have a laptop given to me by the university, which has a very poor antivirus system intended to protect the network before the computer. Installed ESET and force removed the antivirus system, and now, it never happens anymore.

It's a Jersey thing, you wouldnt understand.
