Why don't we have a ROTM
 

seems like every forum i have been on has a ride of the month. Could we maybe consider getting one of these going? anyone have any thoughts on this?

I'm a fan. They do it on the chevy duramax forum I'm on. My truck won once!! Pretty cool!

it doesnt have to be for anything more than like a sticker or a little avatar that says "ROTM mar, 2012" or something along those lines. i think it would jsut be some good fun competition and a way to showcase all your hard work.

could also be something for people to look forward to every month. I.E. having a theme every month ("Jan ROTM theme: Urban environment")

they did it the same way, each month was a different theme to keep it fair for the owners who arent quite as dedicated to modding but still spend time on the forum.. heres a link to the month I won. We don't have ROTM because if we did? There wouldn't be any Z's on it. It would be 5.0 brembo pkg, corvette, camaro S2000's, lotus exige and everything else, 11 out of twelve months... Z's aren't worthy for car of the month.

Good idea. But I think it would need to be spearheaded by general members. There isn't enough mod staff on hand to run it, so it'd have to be someone managing entries, voting, etc.

I nominate edub370 :D For his services, he can also have the very first ROTM for March 2012. I'll take every month prior to that.

Here's your ROTM

For anyone who wants to run this process is simple:

Right now make a submission period for 1 week. Then make a poll so people can vote on those submitted. The results will become car of the month in April.

In april repeat the process with submissions/poll for May ROTM.

The only issue is the amount of submissions you may receive. I wouldn't want a poll of 50 cars so I would cap it at 10 maybe. And not let people submit 2 months in a row. How to select the 10 is a different story. Maybe make each month a category (only cars with front lips, only yellow, or only those with custom wheels, etc.)

i think they should just do a random ROTM. people with stock cars may never win if it's just a poll... and it's not fair to them even though they own the same car and might be a premium member.

should be like a random selection and the winner can explain about the mods they did or what they like about the car, wat can be improved, etc.
