should be like a random selection and the winner can explain about the mods they did or what they like about the car, wat can be improved, etc.

 I think my local Z club does it this way. Seems to work fine too. They have a nice interview sections:
1. why did you buy this car
2. what do you like most about it
3. current mods
4 future mods
etc.

If I could manage everything my my iPad Tapatalk app I would be willing to take on the responsibility. I can don't from my computer at night, but I'm always on my iPad so that would be much easier. Either way, let me know :)

i think a random car selection wouldn't get people as excited about seeing the new ROTM theme for that month or something. ya everyone won't be eligable for all ROTM's, but nothings to say there can be a "stock ROTM" at some point.

I think setting up different themed months could help eliminate the same cars always winning or always being up for ROTM. and like Zman said, not allowing people to submit twice in a row and things of that nature could be helpful

kenchan 03-14-2012 01:06 PM

the winner should buy all the members charburgers and cheeze fries. :yum:

An idea to help give you a long term guidance on ROTM is each months winner, plus maybe second place(?), will be eligible for that years ride of the year contest. Give people something to strive for each year, not just winning a single month but how the car is for a whole year v. others.

this is why you do different themes. Some examples of what iv seen in the past, stock cars, certain colors, 19" wheels, 20" wheels, slammed cars only, nismos only, and so on..

kenchan 03-14-2012 01:09 PM

hummmm... i donno. the thing with modded cars is i dont agree with the mods often times and that car representing the forum i visit the most, not sure.

Why not make "Ride of the month" for the MODDED cars and "Car of the week" for Non-Modded? Sounds fair to me.

edub370 03-14-2012 01:13 PM

i like the ROTM winners being eligable for ROTY. i see kenchan's point about modded cars always winning, but i also agree that the different catagories could prevent this from happening.

example:

"This months ROTM theme will be cleanest stock ride" (caters to stock cars)
"This months ROTM theme will be your Z in action" (caters to either)
"This months ROTM theme will be slammed z's" (caters to heavily modded cars)
