Are you getting a lot of subscripton emails?

That's because the Forum default is set to "Daily Email Subscription" setting. This was done to encourage "1 post" members to come back to the forums.

If you do not want to receive those emails, you can set your preference to "NO email notification". DO NOT set your preference to "DO NOT subscribe". If you do so, you won't be able to track the threads you replied to in user cp.

Here's how to change it: Go to user cp ------> Edit Options ------> Default thread subscription mode (set to "NO email notification") ------> SAVE changes (don't forget)

That's it!

I had 140 new e-mails the other day until I turned it off!!

as soon as it started sending many e-mails, I shut it off.

on another forum, one person had his email integrated to his phone and he posted in a very popular thread, he was getting like 20 emails a minute....which was kinda funny
