Looks good so far. You should add a theme changer to change the colors so we can have more options.

AK370Z 11-06-2008 03:52 PM

Cool.. I'll work on the theme... oh also, pm replied.

cow 11-06-2008 05:41 PM

My only gripe with the site is this-- when I go to the reply screen, there's a large space between the actual text box & the submit button.

I'm not sure if this is just a Firefox issue, but if it isn't, can that be rectified?

Other than that, everything looks great. I'm a moderator/ admin on a few forums & as such I look at what other sites do to get an idea for mine. I like everything about this site thus far.

Easily fixable. I just wanted you guys to have more smiles in your click able distance ;). Fixed it now. What do you think now? It DOES push the smiley box a little more to the right, but better than before. I can even make it smaller.

I like it a lot more. I appreciate the smilies available close at hand, but personally, I feel that clicking "more" isn't that big of a deal. After a while, most members will have the site's text commands for the smilies memorised anyway, so it'll be ok.

It needs to be shifted a bit to the right. I like the idea, but I think the picture's kind of grainy.

Maybe shrinking a bit would help the resolution.

You a former hatcher? I've been on there forever (it's one of the forums I'd mentioned that I moderate).

My EP about five minutes before it met its tragic end:

My friend "onethreefive" had one. I like that car a lot and almost bought one as a beater. He used to go to ephatch a lot and he made me sign up there. I used to play in their arcade all the time. My fav game was catching the chicken eggs :icon17: I knew something happen couple years back when all members name was deleted. Mine got deleted and I never signed up again.

I'll let "onethreefive" tell you about his ep. May be a new thread in other vehicles section.

It's almost perfect, but there's still a gap on the right.

chinny 11-07-2008 06:51 PM

Hey dav, did you get a chance to mess with the text? Can there be a two color/different font possibility?

Thanks

There already is one right under the market place. :)

G in ny 12-16-2008 12:30 PM

The colors on the forum are very boring. It should be somthing little more brighter and not look grey like driver.

The banner looks alright but the 370z is a hot car I feel like it could be hotter.

but im likin the forum in time im sure things will become better

nogoodname 12-16-2008 12:33 PM

^^ driver is outdated, but here's it's neutral colours

and myg37 is just ugly with the light blues

xDIEGOx 12-16-2008 12:34 PM

Nah I think the colors are good the way they are. It's very easy on the eyes and it looks classy. I swear I've seen some forums that will make your eyes bleed.

nogoodname 12-16-2008 12:37 PM

^^ i agree, there less strain on the eyes

but maybe the banner such be revamped

Hey AK, is there a way to refresh old posts?

When I hit "new posts," it shows 20 pages of new posts, but most are over a month old.

I'd prefer it just shows posts since one's last visit.

shumby 12-16-2008 07:41 PM

^^^ ya I got the same issue. bump for answer to this question

nogoodname 12-19-2008 08:40 PM

on the other forums it shows the last 24 hrs posts since the last visit

It works fine for me. It shows me any (all) threads that has a new post since my previous sign up. Check your user options in user cp. Let me know if you still have the problem.

nogoodname 12-19-2008 08:51 PM

mine has default setup and i got the same as you ^^^^

just 7 pages.........

drmike 12-26-2008 11:04 PM

Hmm, when I go to the370Z.com the welcome frame says:

Quote:

Welcome, drmike.
You last visited: 11-27-2008 at 02:06 PM
Apparently something's wrong either here (though computers at home and at work see the same thing) or with my user settings (what setting?) or...?

Anyway I always see every post since 11/27 as a "new" post, so the New Posts link results in twenty pages or threads.

nogoodname 12-26-2008 11:16 PM

also, i noticed that when i click on log off, my green light does go off, but when i just close my browser...my green light stays on even if i'm not logged on

maybe that's why we have such a huge list of online ppl on the main page when they are really not online.....

drmike 12-26-2008 11:26 PM

Ahh, yeah, that did it. Logging out and back in reset the "new posts" field. Strange, I don't have to do that at any of my other haunts.

I checked everything in my user CP, but there's nothing I really saw to change that seemed like it could rectify the issue.

I'm really not sure what the deal is. Like mentioned by another member, it shows my last log in 11/5/2008.

AK370Z 12-28-2008 04:49 PM

I will tweak around and see what happens. In the meantime, you can log out everyday after you're done visiting the forums.
