"Events" section?
 

Any reason why the370Z.com doesn't have an "Events" section for groups to post about upcoming events?

That is a great idea, Robert. I think one roadblock to that may be that the Regional forums may be the appropriate source to list events since most can't go beyond their immediate geographical area for a meet.

All my current degrees are from Ohio based schools - I'm currently working on another online.

Thank you for the Idea Robert, but I don't think we have too many events going on at the moment to lauch a dedicated forum. May be in near future. BUT what I will suggest you at the moment is to

Click on - Calendar
Nissan 370Z Forum - Calendar

Then look at your right lower side. You'll see 3 options

You can click on the appropriate link and THIS dialog box will appear. It's just like at you would create a thread. It will show at the bottom of the page. I will tweak it in the system so that it shows up at least 3 months before the event. That's a long time to prepare for a event don't you think ? ;)

Perhaps we are mixing terms here but I wasn't suggesting a whole forum; just a section where upcoming events could be listed.

It's certainly not my original idea - most of the forums I belong to (car related and otherwise) have a section like that which is why I was a bit surprised when I went looking for one here and didn't find one.

I was just looking for the "events" forum myself. I see this post is several months old, however I feel it would be beneficial to have one area for events, at least large events, instead of posting the same thread in individual regional forums.

For example, ZDays, ZFest, ZCon etc... would be perfect in an events forum.

I totally agree. This way all the members or guest could see what is going on. I'm the webmaster for ZDayZ and I'm just trying to let people know about this event. I did create a social group for ZDayZ. But I do not see my post listed in the "New Posts" section and it does not show up on my history on my profile. I will look into this more. Thanks! :tiphat:
