AK needs Feedback: Bi-monthly Newsletter
 

Hey guys,

I have been thinking about this for last couple of weeks. How do you guys feel about receiving an email/Newsletter (Nothing fancy, just simple email) twice a month? It will include :

a. Most talked about thread(s) or a great article/video about 370Z posted on the forum (during that 2 weeks time frame)

b. New sponsors that signed up.

c. What's being added to the forum or updates from me what's coming up next etc.

d. DIY thread of the month

Basically it'll be a GREAT way to find out what you've missed (or what happen) in last two weeks. There are some other forums that I receive update via email and I find it VERY helpful because I don't frequent the forum.

It gets a :tup: from me. I just want to know what YOU think? :hello:

Sounds like a good plan, maybe make it a monthly newsletter though, then down the road you can throw in things like car of the month in it, X month "big" events coming this month, etc. Bi-monthly letters can sometimes result in one being bigger than the other or one lacking anything new or interesting.

I think it's a good idea for once a month.

Could do a car of the month feature, as well. Recognition for the best forum content contributers .........

Newletter would be pretty sweet. Oh and ride of the month would book cool too.

bi-monthly? no. monthly with a featured car section and regional calendar? oh yes, great idea. :tup:

If you can figure out a fair way, you could even include a product of the month sale offered by one of the vendors. Only valid for that month...

i probably wouldn't read it, but that's because i frequent the boards. actually, i don't even think that's it; i get newsletters from other boards and just delete them or forward them as spam. that's just me though, it seems like the majority like the idea. if it's not too time consuming for you, i guess you have nothing to lose.

Once monthly, as others have stated. Planet-9 does a nice little monthly newsletter.

We also advertise on about a dozen or so other forums, not many send out newsletters, if anything. Those that do, send out interesting info that many forum members would love to read.

Or perhaps a *new* item released over the previous month, even a small box..

I think this is a great idea!

I'd actually be interested in helping you out with this provided you don't want to take the whole project on yourself. I have a little experience in similar stuff from when I worked for a small IT company. That and being an English major helps. :p

When and if you decide to do a ride of the month, that can be be featured in the newsletter as well
