Houston Area Dealership reviews and Pricing
Hello everyone,
I am new to the 370z forums, and I am familiar with automotive performance and what not (but not as much as some of you guys). I've been thinking of purchasing a 370z within the next 6 months or so (if everything goes according to plan). I tried searching this forum for dealership reviews in houston, but no luck. So my question is which dealer is "best" in Houston for purchasing and which is "best" for routine maintenance? And if you're comfortable with it, how much did you pay for your Z with TT and drive out + options?:eekdance: |
I will add my price and other things later as I do not have that exact info on hand.
I worked with Steve at Tom Peacock and it was super easy, and also worked with Kirk at Mossy and it was a complete pain. Both are the internet managers and do the normal "lowest price first" which is great. Though Kirk told me one number (I believe a few hundred over invoice) and then after two test drives I came back on a weekend when I finally got free time and he was saying 2k over invoice. Over the next two weeks I worked him down to the original offer but then he low balled my trade in. I called Steve after the low ball for my trade in, offered invoice first day, offered me more than Carmax and close to KBB on my car and had the car I wanted coming in about 3 weeks. Picked the car up three weeks later, all numbers checked out and zero hassle from signing the papers. Only downside was they were a bit busy with many people buying cars so I just had to wait. It gave me time to sit in my car and get all the settings right. :D |
I did business with Sterling McCall on HWY59 @ West Airport. Stewart was my sales rep and I must say that guy knows his stuff and we worked out a nice deal.
P.S. Not a fan of Mossy... I would never recommend them to anyone. |
Thank you for the replies! I was considering going to the one off West Airport and 59, but I heard the sales is decent, but the service department is another story.
With that being said, I would try to do all the work myself, but I am some what mechanically challenged beyond oil changes and maybe brakes (minus a few simple mods). Do you know if their service department is good? |
Service centers at dealerships I never trust with anything, I have a friend who do my oil changes and parts installs. I got my prices:
~370z base 6MT with sport package and splash guards = 31,530 ~Document Fee = 50 ~Sales Tax = 1,595.63 ~Title = 38 ~License = 72.30 ~Inspection = 23.75 ~Dealer's Inventory Tax = 66.18 Total = 33,375.86 |
steve hipshin sold a alot of 370's to members here in houston. he'll do his best to find the one you want and at invoice..

I just bought mine from Mossy Nissan on I-10. worked with kirk, and it was such a great experience. He really took good care of me.
paid a few hundred over invoice for my 370z base. It was untouched and just rolled off the transport carrier. I was the first to drive it, and i unwrapped the entire car. the man who did the pre-delivery inspection took such great care of my Z. he treated it like it was his own when he did the inspection and got gas. (older gentleman). im a super happy customer of kirk and mossy nissan. |

Sorry for the extremely late reply everyone.
And thank you for the information! How are the service departments so far treating you and the 370? In the past when I used to have an Accord, the Honda guys/service didn't know anything. I hear horror stories on those ends quite often. I could do basic maintenance (oil, brakes, filters, etc.), but beyond that, I would need to take it into service. |
