So who is it we recommend for clear bra installation in Houston?

GF just brought home her new IS350 on Friday, and I'm twisting her arm to get a clear bra installed before Houston construction destroys her paint. She agreed to get it done next weekend. Who's the go-to place in Houston?

We'd all like to see you GF's front end in a clear bra. Post-up.

Chuck this is who I've used on both my Z and the wife's car:

Invisishield - Paint Protection Film Application and Distribution

Steve Perez is a great guy. Insist he do the install.

Perfect. I'll have him re-do the Z as well so I get rid of the godawful job Lou Fusz's monkeys did. ******* dishonest assclowns, all of them.

Wow. More than twice what invisishield quoted for the same amount of coverage. What a deal.

To be fair, make sure the coverage is the same; i.e. full hood vs. 1/3.

I've got 1/3 coverage of the hood and fenders, the mirrors and the whole front bumper. Zero problems with the install and the coverage is fully adequate.

I have nothing but good things to say about Steve Perez; super-nice guy.

It was. That's why I was shocked.

I just watched the XPEL video. That's way over the top compared to Invisishield. They removed the badging and headlights, and wrapped around the edges.

It's almost apples and oranges here. That being said, mine has been installed for over two and a half years and I'm very satisfied.

Chuck33079 03-06-2014 07:42 AM

I was unable to see why any of that helps do anything but pad the installer's wallet. Plus there's no way in hell I'm ok with them disassembling a brand new car to wrap around things. She's going to take it to Steve. Once I figure out what I'm going to do with my front bumper I'll probably take mine there too. I need a new peice on the front.

:iagree:

I wasn't trying to talk you out of going to Steve, just pointing out the difference. That other group is way over the top.

You'll be happy with Steve.

He was also the cheapest. I called a few others and they all wanted at least $150 more than he did.

He works out of Driver's Source. Make sure to walk all around while they do the car. They have some amazing cars there, especially in the back.

They always have had so much cool **** there. Back in high school, they actually had a Vector. Never seen another.
