Love the poeple in San Antonio

Great story...from my perspective anyway.

I run a lot, typically a half marathon every Sunday.
I had only had my Z for 2 weeks when of course me and my buds went on our Sunday morning run. When I run I disconnect the key from the rest of my keys and place it in my pocket with my phone for the run. Smart phone nike run app....blah blah blah.

Anyway we ran the 13 miles and when I get back to my car I realize my key is not on me. Somewhere between me and the 6.5 mile turn around area my key fell out, probably when I was checking my pace on my phone or something. I gather myself and begin a 3 mile walk back to the next trail exit looking down and making bikers and runners mad because I am going against the grain. I had to check that side of the trail. 3 miles later no key found. Holy crap this is gonna be expensive...I can't just leave a key out somewhere and not rekey my car. Anyway I call my step father and he picks up my other key then picks me up and drives me back to my car. When I get to my car, someone had tucked the key into the door handle. I tried for weeks leaving a message on my windshield that I wanted to reward the person who returned it, but no answers. Nothing was touched, my wallet still had my cash in it. Gave me a little faith in humanity.

Anyway now I run with my key in the other pocket, or tied to my shorts.

Yes, I would say it was a good day.:icon17:

That is awesome, I know that in El Paso, TX my car would have been gone for sure and ended up in Mexico. LOL

My Wife and I go to San Antonio often and everyone seems very nice there. I dropped a gift card once I did int even know it. Out of nowhere a person comes up to me and tells me that I dropped it. I was very surprised that he went out of his way to make sure I got my gift card back.

I don't believe you...In fact as a fellow Z owner I think you would have taken it out, washed and waxed it and brought it back.....now the cash in my wallet on the other hand would have simply become the handling fee.

Great story; I'm glad it worked ot for you!

As a new owner, you need to join the local Z club - ZSport.

Z Sport

They are a great group of guys. I live in Houston, but am a member.

They host Nismo Fiesta each spring which is a blast.

Nismo Fiesta - 2013

Actually I have owned a Z since I was 19. 1st car I bought was an 83 ZX.
still have it. Bought the 370 once I became single and my daughters don't need a taxi.

I looked up the Nismo Fiesta, looks like a lot of fun.
I thought about joining the z club in the past, but never pulled the trigger. Perhaps now I may just do that.
