Richey collision review

I heard a lot of good things about them, so I used Richey collision for my bumper repair.

Story: one worker put on the emblems before buffing and polishing the bumper, had to take it off again and put em back on.
After driving it home, realized my rear bumper damaged was not fixed 100% and could still see the dent where it was hit. Had to bring it back to the shop and they are fixing it at this moment. I was promised to get the car back this past Monday, but was informed that the body guy did not come into work without calling in. I was promised to get it back on Tuesday, again on Wednesday, and today is Thursday.
I can understand the work is really busy over there, but nonetheless, frustrating.

Pros:
1.People and owner are very nice and informative.
2.Reasonable Price
3.Karen takes care of insurance 100%. she's good.

Cons:
1.Shop is extremely crowded due to high customers.(one customer vehicle was hit and scratched yesterday during a rainstorm due to workers failing to obey orders to move objects prior to the storm.)
2.My bumper was not fixed properly the first time. took it in for a second repair.
3.I was informed that they hired new guys(I saw him put on the emblems on my car for second attempt) that are not very well trained, and worked on my car to imperfection.
4. Communication is not as good as I thought. they forget to call me for update, so I had to call every day for new status.

Lesson to be learned is: Good Reputable shops can also do a unsatisfactory job. Especially with more unskilled workers coming onboard to fill the demand. Personally, I don't know if I will use Richey collision again.

I've heard nothing but good things about Richey. They will get you fixed up.

One other lesson learned is never leave the shop without thoroughly inspecting your car.

I just received my car. Chris and Karen is out at a carshow, so i couldn't speak to them.

bumper is fine, but i'm really mad when i just found out:

all the emblems move like they're on Jello. Same with Nismo logo.

Time for a debadge?

Thanks for the review though. I want to shave the front and rear emblems one day. I too have heard great things about Richey, but they're on the opposite side of town from me. Hoping to find a quality place on the SW side of town.

Ok so all I have to say is FU6K Richey Collision Wack Repair. Call your insurance company up and let them know that the car is not put back to how you had it If you went through insurance. Per insurance that is something that is disclosed and documented on one of the documents they provide to you when obtaining insurance especially if you have Progressive. If not through insurance still address this matter. The emblems are a one shot deal. You install, take off, their toast. You throw away and obtain new simple as that. Is my understanding per what I just read that the shop didn’t want to come out of pocket the so called 80$ or what whatever the price maybe for new emblems because their employee messed up on the install. That’s just as bad as re-using bumper clips after a fender bender and going through insurance. How is that your problem. Address this matter asap! Oh an yelp them for their inconvenience and compulsive Fu6k ups.

first time, they put on a new emblem. but they did not fix the bumper 100% and I had to get them to do a 2nd repair... and that's when they decided to re-use the emblems... want to hear one more thing? I was there and saw when they put on the new emblems. They don't even use the instruction by carefully using the precut styrofoam to align the emblems. they just stuck em by giving it a glance... I totally agree with you. but I've already purchased my fairladyZ emblem and the new 14' nismo emblem and won't be going back to richey anymore... I've spent over 100 dollars in gas just commuting back and forth to that place..

what was your problem? your car had any work done from them?

Nope I'm not even in Tx I'm in Ca but have in the past dealt with Bs shops in my state and city and have no respect for shops that don’t and do not take care of their customers. Especially body shops because they work off of word of mouth and referrals so why wouldn’t you do quality work off the bat. The other thing that irritates me about your post is that they seem to be over booked but still quote a Bs time frame. Be real and up front with your customers.

exactly my thought.
i really feel that this place is overrated for the quality of work they do, and remain a hero no matter what.
