this is an extended stay location about 15 miles outside of downtown:
720 N. Sam Houston Pkwy. E. http://www.intownsuites.com/location...ontinental-xhi thinking about just going ahead and locking this up for 1 week just to see if the commute is ok during the first week.

It's a little far if you're going downtown every day. It's ok for a little while, but it would get old. Plenty of people do it, but I'd be looking closer in.

As for this area its seem im the only white guy around here, literally id like to see at least 1 other white dude but I don't.i will be moving closer in as suggested. Gonna drive down to jtran tommorow since its only 10 miles away to check out theirspeed shop. This extended stay blows.ho9efully after moving into a regular place in a neighborhood that doesnt have prison bars and bulletproof shields in almost every store ill feel better about being here. I'll talk to a client of mine and see if she knows a good apartment locator. There's a lot of areas in Houston you don't want to be in.

As mentioned in an earlier post I was going to stop by AwesomeZ to have springs and camber installed on my Z however they are booked until Aug 12th and are closed on weekends. Our buddy Chuck here referred me to South Side Performance (SSP) on Beltway/West Little York and Baker Nissan North instead. Jason at SSP did a fantastic job installing the springs and camber and their shop is packed with GTRs. Baker Nissan aligned my wheels within an hour on a busy Saturday.
I would highly recommend both these locations if you're looking to have work done on your car. Thanks Chuck for the good pick! I can't say much about JTran since I haven't been there but as of now my first choice is SSP. |

That's because Jason kicks ***. He's the first person I recommend for anything.

So far kozmic is my first choice. They are thus far the only 1 of the shops that responded to my email query. I'm real big on thatbecause im anal I guess. Initial pricing is reasonable and fair although I think they r a little high on the uprev retune. They also brought up ceramic coating the z1 headers and wrapping them which I honestly hadnt thought about but even though an additional expense this makes sense to me. I didnt ask if they had a dynojet or not. So far it seems like theyll get mybusiness. I tried to stop by ssp but my god there was no place to park and that was a real turn off especially when one of their guys was outside and saw me tring to find a spot and just ignored me so I scratched them off my list.

Don't write off ssp based on that. Jason is the man. Also, Polydyn is in Houston so all your coating needs are taken care of. Lastly, I've got someone who would be happy to help you find a place to live. Just shoot me a pm with contact info and what you're looking for and I'll get her in touch with you.

Lol it was the complete opposite for me. I called Kozmic for a quote and they said they will get back to me. They never did, which made me cross them off my list. SSP answered my questions straight up and throws charity car washes.. win =)
