Moved to texas
So, I just moved from New York to Texas in beautiful Hill Country (New Braunfels area), and would like to get some advise on good dealers/service centers out here. I looked up several dealers in San Antonio and Austin, but would be great to get someone with experience on whom to avoid or embrace.
Thanks guys/girls PS: You guys have some serious cops out here, first day and a ticket for 76 in a 70 zone, really? Must have been my NY plate I assume

Thanks a lot, but if anyone can recommend anything closer than a 3 hours drive, would be great.

Stay away from Town North Nissan and Round Rock Nissan. I'm not too sure how South Point Nissan is. I don't change my own oil and I've never had a bad experience at any Lamb's Automotive center.

Dnwarwas took her Nismo there and thinks they took it out for a joy ride. It also took them about 4 or 5 hours just to fix something easy for her. Can't remember what.

Umm, I'm gonna have to argue on that one brother. Friend of mine got a turbo'd 350Z those guys had done...car ran rough and had a messed up tune. So we pulled the motor, TONS of plugs left unplugged, NO support on the phone from them, nothing. NOW, I met the guys, and they were super nice, no doubt about it, and I'm ONLY relaying my friends experience with them and work they had performed, nothing more. For my car, I'd prefer the dealer or Dane Miller in Houston.

Yea, like I said, I went there once and talked to em and they seemed like great guys. Really nice, very knowledgable, tons of awesome cars in their shop. The only work I've heard of the, doing though is on my buddy's car and it was pretty jacked. I saw that first hand. And he'd call em, write em, all kinds of stuff to get some guidance on repair and they ignored everything. Could be a fluke but one bad story that close to home for me anyway makes me weary of the shop

Texas is a great place for the car enthusiast, hi speed limits, lax smog rules and plenty of reputable performance shops. I'm familiar with the Houston area so I'm probably not much help for you as far as getting your car serviced. I'm a big fan of the DIY, these cars are very easy to work on!

So, Wendell bought the silver 350 you guys turbod for someone. After it was done he immediately sold it to Wendell. He had it for a couple weeks and it started running really bad and having problems. Wendell said he called you guys for help and was promised a call back and never got one, no return emails, nothing. (Again I'm just relating what he's told me). So they work out some issues then continue to drive it. His son is driving it one day and the motor goes. Now, this is his sons fault totally, he wasn't monitoring the temp gauge at all. But, Wendell said when he put water back in it, water poured out like crazy, that the reservoir had been put on some of the components and burnt a hole in it. When they tore the motor down to replace the head gaskets and stuff, he says he found all kinds of plugs not plugged in and stuff. Again, this is what I was TOLD, I got no dog in this fight
