Maybe everyone can get together again soon & do it again. :)

Hey guys i need some help. i have a 40th ann. rim that either the clear coat is coming off or the color is fading anyone know of a place that can help with this ? Thanks

Robert_K 03-02-2012 09:53 AM

Updated the Nismo Fiesta Convoy thread with more conveyors. FYI: It's not looking promising for me to be home for this now. Iraq is still not issuing entry Visas. Have to have one before I depart. Need some prayers, hopes and wishes

O&G 03-02-2012 10:16 AM

So you can leave Iraq but can't go back after your time off? That sucks :(

Correct. And after so much time off the company I work for considers it as you quitting.

Call up Baker Nissan north and ask for Paul Morgan. They have a painter there that does awesome work!

Ron 03-02-2012 01:38 PM

are those yours? How is the paint holding up? I was thinking about powder coating mine but those look sick and I sure it costs less.

Those are going on Jason's car, they are on but he still has his stock wheels as he is waiting for the new ones to arrive soon.

Ron 03-02-2012 01:42 PM

I see. Would you know if the stock ones are pc'd or painted?

The stock brakes? I think they are just painted but I can ask to find out.

VDC_OFF 03-02-2012 01:50 PM

This pic was just taken yesterday. They are painted, not powdercoated and they said downtime is only 2 days.

Please do, bc if they are painted there is no reason to powder coat. Stock ones look pretty nice and look like new on the 09's I've seen.

Mine will be there in about two weeks for TT install so I might do this and wheels at the same time. I was also thinking about clear coating the engine bay and underside of the hood.

VDC_OFF 03-02-2012 02:23 PM

misread your question... I dont know if factory color on calipers is paint or powdercoat. Thought you were talking about the picture I took.

Sounds like you are going to have a badass car! What color are you thinking about doing for brakes and wheels?

Ron 03-02-2012 02:26 PM

Thank man! Dark gunmetal, think 40th/GTR wheel color. Not sure if I wanna go with some sort of metallic red or gold calipers.

Same colors I was thinking for the calipers but still undecided on if I want to do it. Red to match tailights or gold to be Top Secret :D Have other stuff to buy first anyways, maybe in the future.

theDreamer 03-02-2012 02:37 PM

I was thinking of a yellow under my black wheels with PG.
Think it will look good? Red is nice and standard but everyone does red.

wstar 03-02-2012 03:36 PM

Ron 03-04-2012 09:50 AM

1) That's a Ferrari!
2) That ProjectMu color is horrible!

theDreamer 03-04-2012 10:28 AM

Threw the yellow color out the other night and most were saying no on it, because porsche and other companies do it from factory.

Ron 03-04-2012 10:36 AM

So? Its not like colors are proprietary. I say do it if you like it! I like it lol
