You need to sign up for a track day somewhere. There will be one going on at TWS when we visit on Sunday. You could check into it then.

Drifting was two weekends ago at the Greyhound track south of town, and Race Fuel and Red Meat was at MSR last week on Thursday. Plenty of opportunities to push your car around Houston; the Club just doesn't get into those things on a cruise. Too many drivers of varying abilities, it's unsafe on public roads, and when you add up the value of the cars present, an s-load of money involved.

Oh, no doubt there. I'm just not interested in going to a track and not pushing my car :driving:

Got me lol! I was born in 80 :) So close.

Yeah but from my understanding everyone will be driving at a predetermined pace not even pushing their cars. I'd rather be actually racing, or even better, drifting.

Uh oh, we have another drifter! Im not sure my wife will let me do another drift event, she felt more hurt than I did after seeing the damage I did to my car and the money its costing to fix. :( But its what I love to do so well see.

You just gotta avoid events with concrete objects LOL. I like road courses where you can race to each turn and then drift the turn. Also gymkhana isn't too bad. Just kinda slow and hard to see the direction of cones sometimes.

I did, didnt hit anything but a few cones (which left some marks btw). Was super safe and then a wheel falls off. :/ What luck.

I think your car might get less punishment on the track than on the street, given recent history... :p

bahahaha seriously. I have a small feeling that was kharma. Because I didn't really do anything wrong to the car or the way I drove it.

How so?

1. I was in a wreck that wasn't my fault
2. There shouldn't be massive flipping lakes in the middle of I-10.
3. ^ I was driving 50 in a 70.
4. ^ Both hands on the wheel.
5. I had a defective engine that consumed oil faster than Larry the Cable Guy throws beer back.

Ron 03-29-2012 02:47 PM

Yeah I used to be on a horrible forum full of trolls for the Cobalt SS. It was baaaaaad. Also, the Android forums are pretty bad too. Lots of people talk too much smack on forums now. So I kind of always have my e-guard up LOL.
