Here is a thread on it for Houston: http://www.the370z.com/texas/13738-h...rea-autox.html

Would be great to meet you at the next C&C, just remember to get up early as by by 7AM most of the parking lot is full.

I would say earlier than 6:00 because other people are starting to take our spots. Z's no longer own our normal parking spaces. We need to claim them back! By 6:30 everything is gone and its now over at 9 instead of ten due to the heat.

RMRF is HPDE-like (think Road Racing - a real road course race track, but non-competitive, just track time to learn), and The Driver's Edge is highly recommended for an HPDE-like event around TX. Auto-X is a different thing (cones set up in a parking lot, lower speed and shorter runs, solo for time, more technical I guess). There's a few different groups that do Auto-X around Houston, but the main ones are the one that Dreamer linked earlier and the Porsche/BMW clubs (which do allow other makes!).

Hey fellas. I'm a proud new owner of a 370z. I want to try to make it the next CC meet to meet and greet some of the members. I've been in the car scene since 2006 so this is all very familiar. I came from a heavily modded 2006 STi. I hope to meet some friendly faces at the next meet and greet!

I have this coming weeks one planned, a bit tamed but will be fun. Going to go to a Bingo place near Vintage Park area (if the address is correct). Introduce all the old people to what they have to look forward to as they age....:stirthepot:

VDC_OFF 08-10-2012 09:54 AM

Was waiting for someone to bring up the age card :P

Not sure Ill leave the familia to drive way out there to play bingo but yall have fun.

guru 08-10-2012 04:00 PM

Chuck33079 08-10-2012 04:10 PM

There's on a block east of Shepherd at 43rd/Crosstimbers. I'm not a bingo guy, I just pass it pretty often.

I love that bar ! :bowrofl:

ddot196 08-13-2012 03:10 PM

Weird. One of the few bars I have yet to go to in Houston. And I've been to a lot lol. Gotta check it one day.

VDC_OFF 08-13-2012 03:12 PM

Ive only been to the one downtown and its pretty fun. Lots of beers to try from and the wait staff is awesome ;)

theDreamer 08-13-2012 03:15 PM

As much as some of you will hate this, the Bingo will probably be at the norther location (near Vintage Park).
Looking up some of the other ones they have gone down hill over the years and apparently Bingo is now the third or fourth thing they do which makes it no fun.

Of course, with all the time at the go kart tracks we have missed some of the basic bars/dinner, especially since I missed last week.

dansracing 08-13-2012 06:07 PM

I go to the downtown one pretty often for lunch with one of my customers. Great samiches!

Here is an idea. Has anyone ever hosted a "Z Meet" at their home? I don't mean a hundred cars, I'm talking about 6 - 8 who would come over and bring their cars and your favorite adult beverage and throw some stuff on the grill and just hang out, eat and socialize about our cars or whatever......

I would be willing to host one of those if anyone would be interested in coming out Katy way.

I could get 6 in the driveway (counting the garage) and another 3 or 4 on the front street.

Robert_K 08-14-2012 09:04 PM

I've hosted "Tech Day" at my house in the past. Usually before a track weekend. Do brake upgrades, fluid changes, minor bolt-on parts. They are fun days.

We have done that, let me talk to a couple people and see if another one is coming up any time soon.

Got some things ordered for my car today. Having JTran do the work. Here is my list:
Eibach Pro Kit - Springs
Stillen Generation 3 Long Tube Cold Air Intakes Polished!
H&R Wheel Spacer 15MM
H&R Wheel Spacer 20MM

Will be powder coating the G3 Tubes and am struggling with what color. Either red (smooth) or Nissan Magnetic Black to match the exterior. Have any of you seen both? I know Bryan has red and I kind of like that although his is the wrinkle finish.

Also picked up the Nismo Titanium shift knob. Open "o"

VDC_OFF 08-15-2012 04:29 PM

Nice, sounds like good mods. We dont have any Black Nismos in the group huh? I think Houston was the last guy but he sold his.
