Any Texas headlight modification locations?
I was wondering if you guys know of any locations in Texas that will modify our headlights. I wanna paint mine and get the led landing strip on em. Thanks guys. :tiphat:

Bump! I'd like to know as well. Just picked up a 370z a few months back and I would love to get my headlights blackhoused. I'm not confident enough to do it on my own, so I would like to know if there's a reputable shop around Houston that can do it. Thanks!

Congrats on the new ride fellow Texan! :tiphat:

me 3!! but if some1 knows how we should meet and do the mod.
|
Lets find this place! If not, sounds like a good way to make some money lol. Three people already
|
I know Ron has done it, I'm looking to do it as well. Did it on my Tundra but iffy on the Z.
|
I'm sending mine to LightWerkz in NJ. Rather not gamble on them.
|
I would offer to do them but I don't really wanna take the responsibility of breaking something. As soon as I can find some time I'll help O&G with his.

I'm planning on doing mine. Flushnismo painted his himself using paint match spray cans from automotivetouchup.com
6 months later and they still look perfect with no condensation. I'm probly going to go this route as well. There is also a local of the DFW area that has done his black with red shrouds on a black Z that I met at C&C and said would be willing to help if I/anyone ever wanted to do it. Were are you other 3 that are interested in doing this mod located? |

somebody in tx needs to start doing this and make some bank!

I was able to do it myself and it honestly isn't that hard, just very time consuming. I wish I could have had somebody else to help though.

Ive been considering doing this myself but I kinda like the way they look stock so Im on the fence. Plus if everyone else is doing it then it wont be so different anymore. Idk, if I do end up doing it I can help those in the Houston area. I also have a paint gun and compressor if needed.

I think I am going to go for it as soon as I get some time. I saw that someone had made the orange reflector piece carbon fiber and thats what I want to do so Ill be taking mine apart just to do that accent :D. Need to do more research first, Ill post on here when I do it.
|
well they always say painting is the cake part. its the prep work that matters.

There is a DIY already, I added my pics there.

It seems like I'm the oddball out as far as location goes. I think taking your time and letting the paint settle along with taking your time reassembling all of it is key, tearing it apart should be no problem, and the materials are cheap.

yep, that's the paint. No extra adhesive, it had plenty in there to seal them back up.
