Thanks! No "real" numbers. Think with a very conservative tune it made 428/390 on 8psi. Very flat power band. Pulls hard though. Can't wait to double the boost level. :driving:

Boost_lee 05-31-2012 02:07 AM

HRE's fit your car perfectly

gurneyeagle 05-31-2012 07:13 AM

The car looks awesome Robert!

Robert_K 05-31-2012 09:29 AM

Thanks guys. Can't wait till Oct for the completed project and to run the Texas Mile.

Zeuz 05-31-2012 09:48 AM

Car looks great !!! Cant wait to hear the real numbers on it !! Good luck !

Robert_K 05-31-2012 09:28 PM

Thanks!

So registration for the Texas Mile opens in August. Can't wait! Already have the rules, regulations and, safety info printed to get the Z ready.

esfourteen 06-01-2012 11:04 PM

definitely my favorite 350, what an awesome build.

Robert_K 06-01-2012 11:22 PM

Thanks! Needs some TLC but it's getting there.

Have the opportunity to swap pumpkins with someone for a 3.3 final drive. Thoughts?

if you're looking for 600whp+ I would probably recommend it, 500 with a 3.5 1st and 2nd are still pretty useless

Robert_K 06-26-2012 05:55 AM

Well I'm going ahead with the 3.3 final drive. Power should be 550whp+ on pump. 600+ on race.

Robert_K 07-03-2012 11:20 AM

Just got off the phone with PowerFab. Don't see any problem with having the Z ready for pick-up when I'm home on July 27th. Other than the body work and maybe the rear-pumpkin swap I'll be driving her at full potential while home on R&R!!!

JB-370z 07-07-2012 10:37 AM

Looks like she is coming together.

Robert_K 07-07-2012 10:41 AM

Slowly but surely! You should come out to the Dyno Day! Love to see your car!

Robert_K 07-16-2012 11:25 AM

Update:

We are waiting for the intake piping to come back from PolyDyn. Once the piping comes back the pumpkin will be swapped out and tuning will be done. PowerFab is going to make a coolant overflow tank since a factory one will not work with a twin intake setup. Also the windsheild washer resevoir will have to be replaced/relocated as well since the JWT one does not work with doing a twin intake setup. Lastly, the gauges are almost done with the new wideband gauge.

Robert_K 07-25-2012 05:51 AM

Should be picking it up Friday!!!!

Dzel 07-25-2012 08:08 AM

Bet your creaming your pants on just thinking of driving her

Among other things. LOL!

Jeremiah@MPG 07-25-2012 02:32 PM

Nice Robert,

On race gas, what PSI are you going to aim for? I know you said 600hp on race, so just trying to compare. I made 600rwhp on pump, so just want to get an idea how much you have to run with the JWT setup. Hope you have a safe trip over the lake. Boring 16hr flight home, Nyquil is your friend haha.

Look forward to seeing the finished product.

Jeremiah

Robert_K 07-27-2012 04:53 PM

Thanks! I'm home. On race gas think we discussed 16-20psi. 16-18 on pump.

Jeremiah@MPG 07-27-2012 05:30 PM

Glad you made it back man.

Oh okay,I made right over 600rwhp on 17psi on a dynojet. So, seems pretty close. What kind of dyno will you be on?

Robert_K 07-28-2012 08:56 PM

Stopped by PowerFab. Having some minor fuel issues and hopefully Monday good to go. Currently making 463/419 with only 9psi! Can't wait for 16-18 psi!!!

Jeremiah@MPG 07-30-2012 10:08 AM

Not too bad, hope you get all the kinks worked out. Right there with you on wanting to see what you make on 18psi.

Robert_K 07-30-2012 08:02 PM

Car was back on the dyno and having lean issues on the right bank. PowerFab checked the timing and it looks like it jumped a tooth. The primary tensioner and oil passage ways in the covers were all clean but the tensioner itself felt exceedingly spongy. So they are putting a new one in and re-timing the motor tomorrow.

ddot196 07-30-2012 10:32 PM

looks great man.

Looks great man. The wheels set the car off well. Any final numbers yet?

Robert_K 08-11-2012 12:56 PM

Still working out some fuel issues. However took it out of the shop for a exterior detail and photo shoot. Below is a teaser...

So hopefully some real number soon. Last known were; 463/419 @ 8psi on 93 pump.

Robert_K 09-17-2012 12:11 PM

Well... No more playing around. CJM Twin Walbro 255 Fuel Pumps have been ordered. I'm officially out of turbo and engine before fuel!
