I don't think the city needs to be involved it is private property owned and managed by SIMON MALLS. I just need to speak with them and security regarding the small event.. Which I will do tomorrow.

It sounds like you know what you're talking about... It always easier to chill and hang out when you don't have someone running you off.

Haha yeah... tell me about it.... I always hang out there with my friends... we chill in the lot and stir up trouble:icon17: lol. and I have a friend that drives a pick up with a straight pipe... and its just stupid loud. So sometimes we just roll in and he revs it to scare people.:rofl2: but we never piss anyone off or get in trouble. ;)

Good, cold, dense, racing air... I wish I had a twin turbo kit for my Z..

If I'm down, I'll do it. I might be in SA that weekend. Free tickets to Fiesta Texas...and I'm gonna do a cruise down that twisted sisters route...

Its awesome... adds like 15HP... It also sounds amazing. You can hear it suck the air in as you accelerate. Its a nice upgrade.. I also have the K&N high flow oil filters, also suppose to add some HP... but probably not a whole lot... But hey, can't complain when it's free!

El Jale 12-06-2011 02:31 AM

Hey Lega-Z... Is it just me, or does the K&N create lag in accelerating or does it require a tune to work right? I feel like my car lags from a cruise to pass/accelerate.

Well, they are supposed to increase horsepower and acceleration. But I don't see how they would cause noticeable lag. As for a tune, that's what those sensors are for, that connect to the intake. They should be able to detect the temperature and pressure, and overall airflow (but you can always still get a tune). But if something is wrong with those sensors, then I could see how you would have some lag... but it still should not be a big problem. I had those intakes installed right after I got the car, so I didn't ever really get the feel for driving the car without them... So I couldn't really tell you if I felt a difference after the swap. But I do not seem to have any lag whatsoever...

that is any issue with any of the Short-Ram intake kits available for the VQ engine or as a matter of fact with any SRi set-up in lots of cars. Since the intakes are inside the engine bay the will "Heat-soak", hence the "LAG" you feel when you first get on the gas. this topic was talked to death over on the 350Z site with dynos, temp charts etc :icon14: Needless to say i got rid of my Injen Short Ram on my 350z and went another route. For my 370 i went with the K&N drop-ins + Z1 Post MAF tubes, proven to be one of the best intake set-ups behind the Stillen Gen-III, although the Stillen has is drawbacks as well (makes your car run rich as F)
