I'm booking at the double tree (7 miles away from the riverwalk) b/c everything on that darn walk is either booked or is a rundown motel... Lemme know if there are any other closer or nicer hotels :)

I've stayed at the Sheraton Gunther multiple times and have always been pleased. It's not ON the Riverwalk, but it is only a few minute walk. We walked to the Alamo and everywhere, never moved the car. And the price is good, somehow my wife always gets us a premium room on the 12th (top) floor for cheap...can't remember how much now though. 3 or 4 star hotel. We like it because it is historic, but not everyone likes that. :twocents: :tiphat:

Damm, well if it's a few mins walk then it probably means it's all booked by now :/ I think hotels by the riverwalk requires booking at least a month in advance :(

It looks like they have rooms available, but they are $361/night for a King on the Club floor. Somehow my wife has gotten us in for $110/night every time. :D

I saw that the Plaza Hotel had rooms, too... But also for $394/night lol... A bit much for a place to crash for a few hours

la cantera mall is by six flag and by the dominion where all the rich people in SA live lol talking million dollar houses 24/7 guarded, hell they even had security posted there at the gate on Christmas day checking people in lol
