DFW - Best Dealers for an oil change
Dear fellow DFW Z owners,
I am due for my first oil change(overdue i think as it has slightly over 4k miles and it is my daily driver) and am looking for a reputable dealer that I can have my oil changed and just have it properly maintained. Could any of you tell me where you had your oil changed and any good/bad experiences about it. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all! |

For service and maintenance, I take mine to Bankston Nissan Dallas off of 635. Ask for Fred. He's the only service advisor that I deal with over there. He's never tried to sell me anything that I didn't need.

Dont go to Bankston. They are the worst... ever. Horrible customer service and I bought my car from them (sad). I would take it to trophy nissan, or buy the supplies and do it yourself!

I bought my car at Bankston in Lewisville, their service department is bad over there. I haven't had bad service from the one in Dallas though. I paid for the service plan so I go there, otherwise I would be doing my own. I don't have any experience with Trophy Nissan's service department but their body shop is horrible! I took mine there to get the bumper fixed after a fender bender and I refused to take possession three times due to a less than stellar work.

Bought my Z at Crest Nissan of Frisco. I've had good luck through two oil changes but the service managers handling a minor bumper paint repair make me doubtful (over spray, scratches from buffing, drips, bubbles, etc). After 5 retries, they got the paint right but put the tail light assembly in crooked. Not sure I now trust them with the work I cannot inspect.
Looking for service suggestions. |

Oil changes are usually not done by a mechanic but by the lowest paid person in the shop. IMNSHO, you'd be much better off DIYing (save your receipts).
