(Hou) Good installer

Does anyone in the Houston area recommend a shop to install springs? When I had my VW there were shops recommended by the community to get work done. Being new to the Z community Id like to know if there are any Preferably in NW area but will travel if they are highly recommended. Good job at a good price.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response neveucd, I'll check them out.

Honestly I did all the spring installs on all my past cars, I think I've gotten lazy in my old age.:icon17:

Depends on what side of town you are on. Any shop can completed the install.

I'm on the NW side. I'm sure any shop can do it but I prefer to give my money to the local shops that cater to the Z (import) community and have a good reputation for price, workmanship and customer satisfaction.

I would say PowerFab. However I like AwesomeZ in Humble.

Baker Tuning has done 3 of my buddies springs and they have a laser alignment machine to perfect the process ;)

After looking at the 370z Suspension I realized I could do this with my eyes closed. So I went ahead and threw them on early saturday morning then took a drive to Austin to visit a friend which helped them settle in. I do have to say the swift springs definitely make the car feel more nimble. They're not soft like the OEM springs yet still comfortable. Plus its just the right amount of drop. I'll probably swing by Baker mid-week to get an alignment done.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Just had my first real experience w/ Baker Nissan / Baker Tuning btw. They installed my new LTH's yesterday. Jason (the tech there) does top notch work, the prices were very reasonable, and the customer service was great. I highly recommend them :)

How much? Do you still have Berk cats for sale?

Well it's probably impolite to re-quote pricing, but I had shopped around before doing this, and it was comparable to any deal anyone else in town would give me on the header install, and more valuable (there's a lot of added value to getting the job done quick, being at a dealership with full access to Nissan stuff and quick parts, etc).

And yeah I still have the Berk cats, they're avail now. 18K-ish miles on them, and they're ugly and blackened now on the outside, and still bolted to my old short-tube headers, so I need to unbolt that too. Want me to bring them to the next meet (what is that, cars n coffee?)

Yeah cars & coffee is this saturday morning. I'm still waiting on Stillen G3 intakes and Still HFC's to ship to my house. EVOHUNTR on here was shipping them to me using COD but he hasn't responded in a week. So I have no idea if he's actually shipped them or not. But go ahead and bring them to C&C and I'll look at them. If the Stillen stuff has arrived before C&C then I'll let you know so you don't have to lug dirty cats around your trunk to a nice meet. Thanks man.

O&G 08-05-2011 08:57 PM

Where is C&C? I havn't been in a minute!

Houston Coffee & Cars | Where All Automotive Enthusiasts Meet To Share The Same Passion | Location ? Or is this different? I haven't been in a while either :) Pretty sure this is it though.

Jason is good. One of the top certified GTR techs in the states, he knows his Nissans
