I do believe the politically correct term is 'Man-Whore'. Men cannot be sluts.

I was trying to avoid using such vulgar vocabulary  :roflpuke2:

cold air intake+ water drops= no go? It's possible.

sexZness 06-22-2011 04:09 PM

yeah... xdeslitx had the same issue, apparently

wstar 06-22-2011 04:22 PM

How low do those Injen intakes go? I thought they stayed inside the engine compartment, and mostly protected from rain splash by the car's front undertray. Seems odd that would be the cause. Did the car splash through large puddles or something? Maybe it could be some wet-wiring problem too?

The way that they hang down, even with just water dripping through the engine bay running down the pipes to the filter, eventually get to them and soak in. And even not just that, but rain = water vapor which will permeate the dry material of the filter. Just remember Rain = Humidity.

Doh. Maybe find some replacement oiled filters if it's just the vapor/humidity. But if the design just happens to work out that water is channeling right down the pipes and soaking the filters, that sucks.

Thats why you see a lot of people who originally got the injens selling them or going back to stock. :ugh2:

Yup, It's the humidity making the [dry] filters not breathe, which sets off the MAF as malfunctioning and then all the other fun sh!t starts happening.
