If you do want to track yours, I'd say you should keep those stock 18s for the track, just in case I wan to track or autox eventually but probably not until I find another car to DD.

Plenty of choices:

The Drivers Edge

Velocity Adventures

Revolution Precision Motorsports School | High Performance Driving School

Grandsport Speedway - Houston, Texas

Harris Hill Road

Have fun!

I ran the 3.1 mile course at MSR Cressen, SW of DFW and was very pleased with the facility, people, and track. +1 for TheDriversEdge.net

That Red Meat and Race Fuel @ MSR sounds tempting, I may have to check that out. Dirt cheap too, but mostly it sounds like a free-for-all, whereas more structured programs will class drivers by experience level and help with some basic coaching, etc.

From the last few times I surveyed the net for HPDE-type stuff, I had pretty much settled on Grandsport Speedway as where I'm likely to go regularly, it seems to be the most reasonably priced setup in the H-town area for someone that wants to do HPDE events on a regular basis (MSR's membership fees are kinda ridiculous, seems more geared for pro/semi-pro types, or people with too much cash to burn). Now I'm just trying to find a good Sunday for my first trip out there (lots of unpredictable travel coming up in the next month or two).
