Mech, if you wanna do the lights (including LEDs) I'd be more than happy to help. Now that I've seen it done/done it myself I'd feel confident doing a set on my own. We'd just need a big enough oven, heh. I wonder if the oven in my new apt will be big enough...

ya, it's not too bad once you get over the fear of cracking open the headlights.

vipor 04-26-2010 08:50 AM

Never had the fear ;) Just needed to see it done once.

BTW, if you want anymore gloves I can get them at a discounted rate. Lots of other weird stuff too like trashcans, floor mats, etc etc.

Caravanshaka 04-26-2010 08:52 AM

lol, you can be my purchasing manager vipor

vipor 04-26-2010 08:54 AM

I don't think you need one actually..

....Tony on the other hand....

Mech, the timing is bad to do anything else for a while, my daughter will be here no later than the 7th, then I'll probably have a couple months before I get into the swing of things enough to commit to a day of working on the car.

The LEDs are easy from what Joe was describing, Vipor can easily wire it, then you just have to drill.

vipor 04-26-2010 03:01 PM

Yeah wiring is uber easy to me.

Caravanshaka 04-26-2010 03:07 PM

ya, the hardest part is getting into the headlights. the LED's are pretty easy as long as you have soldered before.

labk888 04-27-2010 12:01 AM

I could use some help too. :) I was thinking of doing the whole iron man + landing strip thing.

Do you guys have a another get together planned sometime soon?
