Hey, thanks!

Anyone around the Austin area done the rear valance blackout? I've read two or three DIYs already, just wondering if there's any last minute tips I should know. Might be interesting to see one in person too.

Been in Austin for a bit over a year and a half, but brand new to the Z world (less than 12 hours!). Look forward to meeting all the Z fans. Anything I need to know about the gatherings?

Welcome Ben! I'd be excited to see your new Z at our next Austin370Z Cars & Coffee Austin trip- Dec 2, hope to see you then :)

Thanks. Looking forward to it.

Note: Changed nickname from cure to trag (just made a new acct). I signed up in January, forgot why I picked "cure". Anyway. It's still me! Can't wait to see everyone's sweet rides... and then get motivated to spend more money.

Welcome again trag! :)

Quick question... I did a google search but had a bit of difficulty finding a reputable Z/Import shop around Austin. A friend mentioned SoulSpeed but it looks like they closed the doors. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm looking to get Springs/Spacers installed within next week or so. I'd try my hand it at myself but I don't have the necessary tools (or a wide enough garage) just yet.

I hear a lot of good stuff about Rising Sun but have never been there. (Rising Sun Japanese Auto Service)

I had my exhaust put on at the Lamb's down the road from me and everything else was done by JARblue and friends. :p

I had my oil changed at Rising Sun, but that was it. I met a fellow Z owner, Justin Pena, and he has a friend that has a shop and could probably do this work for you. I can't speak for the quality of work, but Justin seemed like a stand up guy and takes care of his ride.

I forgot his screen name - mofuzzy?

I'm not holding out much hope for a meetup.

Colvin Automotive is a good shop. They are kinda pricey, but they'll be able to handle pretty much anything. All of the experiences I've had myself or heard firsthand about with them are very positive or at least ended positively even if something happened to go wrong during the process.
