I totally missed the Austin roll call until just now. Probably no go for next Sat either. But I guess lots of work is better than the alternative. Hopefully join you guys sometime in June.

@ JARblue We've been getting together one or two times a month for over a year now. Had a good showing a couple of week's ago at Austin Cars and Coffee in Leander. Hope to see you at one of the June meets

I just signed up on the forum and got pointed over here. I'm in Killeen so I could come down to Austin occasionally. You guys ever meet like in the morning/afternoon and do a cruise around TX Hill Country? Lots of good twisty roads west of Austin.

Forgot to ask what is the po-po situation like at these night time meetings?

We've done some runs down Lime Creek Dr. There are also some larger groups in the Austin area that do more cruises -- e.g. CenTexVQ

No problems at all. The Saturday meets are usually small -- an average turnout is around 4-5 Z cars and 6-8 people. We usually just grab some coffee and shoot the breeze for a while. Nobody is doing burnouts or revving their motor so we don't get hassled.

I know you guys have been doing this meet for awhile and it works out well but if you varied the time of day and parts of town you might attract some new faces that would then follow the meet around. Just a thought.

^^ We're always open to location suggestions, but we always seem to default to the Starbuck's parking lot location ... The time of day usually various with the season, but only typically by an hour or so. I guess the reasoning on the time is that too late and folks are preparing to go out and too early it makes for a split in the day's activities ...

Right on, I hear ya. I agree with Zaggeron as well. All, please post where you'd like to meet, and any alternate time suggestions for next month.

The only thing we try to shy away from is meeting at a resteraunt, in
the past I've seen this turn into a deal where all the guys end up inside
and eating pretty quickly, and it basically becomes a dinner club where
there's not much time with the cars.

What I like to do with our meet ups is hang out somewhere, then afterwords
those who are up for it then go to get something to eat as a group or go to
do something, I'm usually down for this. Let us know your thoughts!
