I will be in Galveston this weekend, plus I do not have my car yet. Would one evening during the week be better for people or is the weekend the best time?

wstar 04-14-2009 07:28 PM

I'm actually pretty flexible most of the time. I work from home and I'm single, so other than the occasional family holiday/birthday type of event, scheduling is pretty easy for me. Wednesday (tomorrow) is out for me, but the rest of the week/weekend looks ok. You guys sort out whatever and I'll show up.

I'm particularly free for the next week or so except for Thurs, when I have a bunch of stuff scheduled.

Just got back from the Nissan dealership I ordered my 370Z from, Douglass Nissan in College Station, and their sales manager said he would sell an ordered or on the lot Z for invoice. He has two, a red and a brilliant silver, both touring and 6m sport and no nav. Contact Dane Goddard at 979.764.7726 or DG1781@yahoo.com. They are good to business with.

He and I had a conversation about my order after he told me this.....

Got my 370Z last week... been having too much fun driving it to post yet. I will make my introduction in the new members section when I am able to post up the pics, but for now - WHATS UP! :happydance:

Welcome! What color? I'm trying to keep track of the colors in case I run into any of you on the street :)

I've only seen two others in Houston with my own eyes so far: A silver one that had out of state plates (I think it was Washington State?), and a Blue one I spotted in the parking lot of a motorcycle shop, but it had dealer-logo plates (not even numbered like a newly bought car), so I figure it was someone at the dealership driving an unsold one.

Welcome, hope to see you around town soon. :D

Another random thing popped into my mind to post, thinking about seeing other Z's in the wild: watch out for the jealous 350 owners in Houston. The little ricer guys have pretty much left me alone on the street (actually, they tend to kinda slink away like they're afraid), but 350 owners have tried to get me into street and highway races several times now :)

Nice to see more Houston 370's showing up around here :) I haven't tried Hocus Pocus, no. The only performance shops I've been through with my Z (just to use their Dynos though) are Carboy and EngineLogics. Both seemed to have pretty reputable and knowledgeable guys on hand. Carboy is a more laid-back environment, clearly lots of import/JDM connections to order parts, they were a lot of fun to hang out and talk with while cooling down for Dyno runs. The EngineLogics guys run a bit more upscale "professional" looking place, but I was left with the impression that these guys are probably very good at ECU stuff especially (although both shops are likely pretty good at just about anything). Both had lots of project cars around, and the work looked good. I'd go back to either if I needed anything done professionally.
