Default nice roads near houston?

So you can say I'm new to Houston/Katy. Lived here about 4 years ago when I was in high school and then moved to Costa Rica. Now I'm back and living in Katy and lost as hell lol. I happen to have a little too much free time and was looking to see if there are any good roads just to kill time and check out the place.

I think I might go here tomorrow The Fulshear 44: Texas Motorcycle Rides

Have you been around that area? What do you think? Anyone else knows of some nice roads around here?

i live near Fulshaear. I drove on 1093 west until i got to Eagle Lake. There are a couple of nice flat long rural roads, but not much to look at.

go down fry headed towards 290, shortly after you pass 529 maybe a mile oor 2 down you will go over a little bridge then after that the road straightens out with nothing but fields on the sides and only 1 spot for a cop to sit but you would be able to see him. Go check it out, you will be like awwww yeahhhhh.

good roads and houston can never be used in the same sentence.. unless there is a negative involved!

You should try 1489 instead of 359 on the south side of I-10. It's pretty smooth and the only curves I found in Houston without a 25 speed limit. It's my "detour" whenever I head out to SA.

All of these straight roads are so depressing...

I-10 west for 10 minutes, 359 north/west for 10 minutes to 1458. Or, you could take I-10 west for 20 minutes & exit north 1458. it's heaven.

noticing more & more traffic around pattison/brookshire lately. lots of sport bikes & a couple of vipers last sunday. it's time to find a new area.

Default roads

1 year later & I found a ton of great roads (bought a bike); mostly west of Katy.[LIST][*]949, 109, 159, 1291, 2754, 359(top speed run only). All around Fayettville & Industry, Tx[*]390, 1948 south of Lake Sommerville are great but even further west
362 to Anderson, Richards through Sam Houston state park (149) is probably the funnest though.
