Plano area shop to install underdrive pulley?

I have an NST under-drive pulley set that should be here tomorrow.

Anyone know of a local shop to get it installed?

The last time I tried to get a pulley off of my Maxima SE it was...well...a pain!

Try COBB in Plano, even though they specialize in Evos and Subies, they are a full service shop. Very good customer service and very professional. Tell them JJ sent you from the North Texas Evo Club.

If not COBB, you could try Jotech in Garland. They have installed the Greddy Twin Turbo kits on a few 370s here in Dallas. So they should know their way around the engine pulley system pretty good. But again, they are in Garland and your in McKinney.

Or you could take a road trip down to Houston and say hello :tiphat:

Well I don't know if I agree about COBB and good customer service.

I called them today and only got a recording. I left a message as told to, and waited...and waited...and never got a call back.

I then called four other places and no one would touch it. :shakes head:

Might try Jotech then. Garland isn't that far away.

Thanks!

Last time I was at Jotech I inquired about pulleys and they said they prefer not to do them. I really didn't ask questions because quite frankly I feel they are much more knowledgeable than me in that department.

Well I have tried Cobb twice now and they never call me back either.

Never dreamed it would be this difficult to find someone to do it.

You could try Sam at Crossover Automotive (crossoverauto.com). PM me for his phone number if you're interested.

He's small and rents a few bays out of a place in Plano so he's not that well know here in town, but does good work and has good service. I haven't had him do any work on my Nissan, other than ordering parts which I installed myself, but he did a ton on my Mazda, including a full engine swap for $Ks less than other shops.

I got your email after I already called another shop, but thanks for at least getting back to me...a heck of a lot more than _____ did.

I ended up using Crossover in Plano. They did a good job although it took them longer than they thought (and they honored the original quote).
