I contact the General Manger and he was extremely customer services kind of attitude. Apologize and end up special order a new vehicle for us (because this function can't be installed after market), that's an honest mistake my friend!!!.....unlike the general manager at that Grapevine, don't even want to try to apologize....Next time my wife want a new lexus, this will be the place I will return....
That's the dealership my brother works at. They have won national awards for customer service, awarded by GW Bush. If you have an old Lexus that you did not buy there you can still go by for some free coffee and some form of breakfast and they'll clean your car, for free.

In Texas, you can record a 2-party conversation without the other person being aware. A verbal agreement can also be binding. Good state to do business in heh.

When I was still shopping around for my Z back in June or July trying to pick a color and trim and test drive one I stopped by this dealership. I was already preapproved for a loan and we pulled up in my GF's G35 Coupe. When we get there I saw probably 5 barely 20y/o salesman standing outside smoking and talking. This was the warning that I didn't head unfortunately. One of the salesmen starts talking to me and I asked to go look at a Z and told him I want to sit in one at least. He shows us the row of about 5 Zs on the side of the building and then after I remind him, he goes in and gets the keys to one for me to sit in. I ask about a test drive and I am then told "We don't do test drives unless you're pretty much ready to buy." WTF is this crap?! Stupid I say eff it and ask to talk numbers so I can figure out some pricing and financing options in regard to what my monthly will be. Well this kid ends up not knowing ANYTHING about the car or financing and goes and gets his Manager. This guy comes in and just reminds me of Bernie Mac... Loud, pushy, better and smarter than me in his eyes, etc. I ask about leasing options and he says that I can lease the "Top-of-the-line model, you know, the 29k one" for about 600$/mo or something. I ask him to work up some financing numbers based off of down payment and 60mo/70mo so I know what I'm going to be looking at. He flat out REFUSES to try on that too. Just like the kid told me, he says that he doesn't want to mess with even rough financing numbers until I'm ready to buy. Also, as soon as the salesman sets me up with the manager, he takes off to start helping someone else. When the manager left, we were alone in an office for about 30 mins.

Basically these guys just came across as though they thought I owed it to them to buy the car. They did as little work as possible, lied to me about test drives and financing estimates, and just inconvenienced me and my GF for a couple hours.

Afterwards I went to Grubbs Nissan in Bedford and the guy I was dealing with set me up in a PW T/S/N 6MT for a test drive (decided on white once I finally saw this car) and got his financing guy to put together some estimates on financing based off of a couple different APRs and down payments. I later found out that they stayed an hour late helping me too.

I wanted to buy my car from Grubbs, but they couldn't find the Nismo for me so I went with another dealer that I was very happy with.

And did you go back to the first one and flaunt the car they didnt sell? Im kinda sh!tty like that, they piss me off, I come back and flaunt. They way I look at it, no matter what happens later you can never and I mean Never make up a lost sell, even if you sell the next for 2X as much. I think vendors and companies dont understand this. I kinda do theJulia Roberts prostitute movie and go back to the store that treated you like crap and show them what they could have had.

I did go get my hatch springs replaced there. The Service department did not reflect the ways of the Sales. I had to push the issue a little (no TSB out at the time), but it was put into motion with my first visit. Had to come back when the parts were in.

Damn, i wish we didn't have to purchase cars through dealerships. I had an issue where i purchased the Z and they PROMISED me 5 free oil changes. I got my first one, and that went well. 4k miles later, i go back for my next one, and they want to charge me a whooping 160 bucks for non-synthetic and 250 for Nissan ester oil.. I asked them about my other 4 free oil changes, and they asked for any written contract that states what they promised me. I had none.. which is my own fault. Even so, what the ****? I was pissed. I left immediately, with no thought of ever going back there for any type of service. Bought myself some Redline Ester Oil and a K&N Filter, diy 90 bucks.

This was at Alhambra Nissan.

did you get your salesman to talk to them on the second one? I guess you know now always get it in writing. But 250 is like double the price it should be for ester.

Nissan dealerships almost turned me off from the Z completely. I went through every Z dealership in the Portland area before finally finding one that wasn't either A) sleazy or B) lazy. Half of them seemed to care less if I wanted to buy something or not, none of them wanted to work with me via email/phone, and others were just full of jackasses, idiots or both.

I did finally find a decent dealership where they were fairly friendly and had what I wanted and dealt with me over the phone.

It was a completely different experience from when we bought my wife's Honda. We could browse the lot at our leisure and they did all the paperwork in advance so we didn't have to spend hours sitting in some dank finance office.

I don't need to be treated like royalty. Just treat me like a fellow human being.

Nothing better than making a scene and WALKING-OUT. When dealers are playing games I can walk out. NEVER have I been so hard-up for a car that I NEEDED to buy from a certain dealer.

When shopping for my last 2 vehicles, (Jeep and the Z) there was only 1 left within a couple hundred miles. Jeep was end of model yr and I walked out on that dealer 3x's until they called me back and stopped playing games. I was prepared to wait it out.

With the Z, there was ONE in the configuration I wanted. I called them up, drove down and was prepared to walk. The dealer was respectable, straight shooting and my negotiation was 5mins so I didn't have to walk If there was any game playing, I would have walked and waited until I found another dealer with the car I wanted.

When I was a kid (19), I was looking to lease an eclipse. I had a good job that paid well. Salesman and Mgr gave me a LEASE price of $800 with 3k down. I LOUDLY laughed and said $800??? I could BUY 2 of these POS cars for $800/mo. They quickly tried to hush me up as the other shoppers began to take notice. The Mgr. said, "Oh we have to throw that out there every time". I said Oh you HAVE to throw that out there to see if I'm a F-ing idiot? As I walked out the mgr had a few choice words and even jabbed me with the "you prob can't afford the car anyway" line... Real scum man. I'll never buy a mitsubishi and I've talked people out of ever going to that dealership. God I love negotiating!!!

If anyone has a complaint with their Nissan Dealership, you should state it in the questionnaire that is mailed to every new owner……Shop at the dealerships that have “Nissan Owner First Award of Excellence”. You can find on the internet the dealers who have been given this award.

They are all out to make as much from you as possible, they dont care about you just like we dont care about them. Im not trying to get a car for free but Im not paying their house off either. I play their game too and will walk away. When I bought my Z, I already had a preaproved loan from my bank and knew more about the car than the salesman. I told them to get me out of my 08 Audi TT they would have to come up with a very good deal. They knew I was serious and didnt really play any games, we haggled price of course but in the end I got a new interior, a free spoiler and good amount off the car, they still made a few bucks too. Trust me they have huge room to bargin with on new cars. Its our world we just have to remind them of that.

I recorded my deal too. I bought it from Smithtown Nissan - 2nd best in USA - yet having a class action law suit against them for pulling yo-yo's on consumers. See my post:

NY Smithtown Nissan dealership lawsuit over altered prices!!!

Anyway, the bottom line is, you need to be informed and smart and learn about all the scams they try on you before buying.
