DFW Meet!
 

Hey I was wondering if any of you guys would want to get a Z and G meet started in the DFW area?

I'd be in. Would like to meet up and hear some exhausts if anyone's got em? Couple a beers couldn't hurt either.

I'd be in for a DFW meet. Just give me a little time to plan!

I went for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was great. Well organized and all, not just stand around and eat and shoot the ****. The turnout on the cars was great too. 300s, 350s, a couple 370s and a gtr.

I'll be out of town the 2nd weekend in november, so other than that I am good. One of these days I'll make a zclub meeting, I usually have stuff going on thursday nights though =(

I'd meet up as well. I just bought a Nismo model and will be picking it up on Halloween. Post up a date and time and I'll go, as long as it's not during regular business hours. I'm in Dallas near down town. I'd also be interested in the Thursdays meet in Addison.

No problem, would love to drive up for a Dallas meet, but not sure if I will have time.

Yep, thats the plan. Thats why I chose Platinum Graphite. I wanted dark rims, smoked tails and headlights so i wanted a near black color for a subtle contrast.

PG definitely does look good on the Nismo. plz don't do the LEDs though ;) just my pref.

I say black out or paint match the lights. the rest of the ideas look good.

look at Speed Shield | Paint Protection Film | Dallas, Texas for the smoking of the lights. a company my brother's dealership (park place lexus plano) uses for their "clear bras." they do some custom stuff like that as well and the guy I spoke with (the owner) seems to know his ****.

Did you get that clear shield applied to your Nismo? Also, what's with the hatch springs mod?

4 Hrs isnt too long of a drive for a Z meet... :rolleyes:

I'll be getting it in a couple months once I get some money. It's 700$ for a half hood/half fender and 1100$ for whole hood/whole fender (both with front bumper and mirrors.) They're partnered up with a really good detail shop too so I'm gonna have them strip my wax, clay bar, and re-seal/detail the car at the same time. It'll be about 1300$ total, but I think worth it. I already have a few road dings in my bumper and 1 in my hood, so I'll be getting some touch-up paint at the same time.

I drove 3 hours to Round Rock so :p You guys better be there!

Well I'm considering having that performed as well. I'll have to read up on it some more I guess. I'd like it asap but think I'll drive to their shop first to talk to them in person. Gotta get windows tinted as well dark black without becoming cop magnet.

Ya that was a chicks car. She had cf hood. Anyone know Audoban park on Oats? That's where we had our meet/cookout. Then we had a hotel party that night. Ah good times... Used to have meets and parties like that all the time. Glad I kept all the pics.

Like I stated, I would recommend SpeedShieldUSA to do a "clear bra" for you or the light tinting. I spoke with Trey there at length and he knew what he was talking about. Also, if Park Place Lexus of Plano uses them, they've got to be good. Maybe you and I can convince him to make us a group buy of sorts :D

This is 35% UV Nano-Tint all the way around. Don't like darker rear/hatch windows personally.

I'd like to see your car in person sometime if you don't mind. perhaps have like a mini Dallas meet or somehing. Maybe we can get a better price on the clear shield if we do both cars. What part of dallas are you near? Plano perhaps? I'd prefer to meet sometime after Saturday since that's when I trade in my 350 for the 370 nismo.
