TEIN Flex Coilovers
MSRP $2190 P# DSP92-6UAS4 PM or Call for best pricing! 770-792-0202 http://www.forgedperformance.com/sto...cat=486&page=1 TEIN has used its years of experience in various motor sports to produce a kit that provides the ultimate balance between comfort and performance. Developed for NISSAN 370Z (Z34) 09-10drivers seeking an aggressive coilover that can be used daily, and provide all the adjustments needed for circuit use. The FLEX damper Kit features the latest technology for all drivers who are seeking performance, and adjustability, while not giving up all ride comfort. We have incorporated separate spring perch height, and shell case length adjustment, which allows the suspension to retain more stroke and allows for more suspension tuning. The FLEX damper kit includes pillow ball upper mounts, which increase steering response; 16 levels of damping force adjustment, and is compatible with the EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) for added convenience and adjustability. Features: * Steel Construction * Twin Tube internal construction * Ride Height adjustable via threaded body and spring seats * 16 way adjustable dampers, compression and rebound combined * Pillow ball upper mounts for increased steering feel * Upper camber adjustment on front for strut type vehicles * Larger piston diameter for strut type front and rear (22mm) * EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) compatible * Powder coated brackets with Teflon coated shock body for heavy duty rust prevention * 1-year Manufacturers Defect Warranty Contents of TEIN FLEX Series Damper Kit: * Adjustable Shock Absorber × 4 * Bump Rubber × 4 * Main Spring × 4 * Hook Spanner × 2 * Some applications include helper springs * Dust Cover × 4 * Pillow ball Upper Mount × 4 * Instruction Manual × 1 * Lower Spring Seat × 4 * Sticker Sheet × 1 * Seat Lock × 12 TEIN Monoflex Coilovers MSRP $2460 P# GSP92-FUAS4 PM or Call for best pricing! 770-792-0202 http://www.forgedperformance.com/sto...cat=486&page=1 The MONO FLEX coilover kit has been developed for entry-level competition motorsports and advanced street driving. Features include 16-way damping force adjustability (combined compression and rebound), a mono-tube internal design, pillowball upper mounts, and EDFC compatibility. There are independent adjustments for ride-height and spring pre-load settings for increased suspension tuning. The new Mono Flex also includes TEIN's latest technological innovation, Micro Speed Valving (MSV) system, which allows the driver to feel a greater difference in damping force adjustments. Designed and developed for consumers seeking aggressive handling on the street and at the track. Additional Features: * Steel Construction * Mono Tube internal construction * Inverted design for strut type front and rear * Ride Height adjustable via threaded body and spring seats * 16 way adjustable dampers, compression and rebound combined * M.S.V. Technology for improved damping force adjustability * Pillow ball upper mounts for increased steering feel * Upper camber adjustment on front for strut type vehicles * EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) compatible * Anodized brackets with Teflon coated shock body for heavy duty rust prevention Contents of Damper Kit: * Adjustable Shock Absorber x 4 Bump Rubber x 4 * Main Spring x 4 Hook Spanner x 2 * Some applications include helper springs Dust Cover x 4 * Pillow ball Upper Mount x 4 Instruction Manual x 1 * Lower Spring Seat x 4 Sticker Sheet x 1 * Seat Lock x 12 Last edited by Ryan@Forged; 09-02-2009 at 10:52 AM. |

They are EDFC compatable, but do not come with the EDFC controller. So in this since it is not a waste of money by any means The coilovers work just fine without the EDFC. It is not needed to run these coilovers. Hope this helps!

I had the Tein FLEX w/ EDFC on my S2000 and overall I have no complaints. These coilovers are good without EDFC, and even better with it. The EDFC really gives the driver control over the coilover's performance and with the push of a button can alter the luxury feel of the car on daily roads or stiffen the coilovers up for a hard day at the track. Just like with a muscle when it is relaxed and then FLEXed. Great find Ryan and good luck with the sale . -Hunter Last edited by 370Ztune; 09-03-2009 at 05:19 PM. |

Taken from TEIN's website. I hate to copy and paste, but it really is the best explanation.
The EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) makes it possible for the driver to control the damping force at the touch of a button while in the driver seat. This is accomplished by controlling stepping motors installed on each shock absorber. Because the damping force can be controlled with such ease, the driver can adjust the suspension to suit all road/track conditions. Thus allowing the driver to fully enjoy the driving experience. |
