I had similar outer adjustable tie rod ends installed by AMS on my Z32 over 3 months ago. By my research, these are supposed to be the ticket for those sporting a substantial lowered ride height. Something about placing less stress on the outer (older style) boot and joint which may eventually compromise the sealing boot due to such a radical angle of the tie rod.
So far this seems to be doing the trick and is working well.

Just a bit of an update. Since the install of those 370Z outer tie rods ends, they've been performing flawlessly. Last August while having new tires installed I thought I'd make a quick video of my suspension as part of an overall inspection for piece of mind. You will see the condition of the 370Z outer tie rod ends after a full year of use. What you'll also see is the remainder of my suspension which includes AMS Race coilovers (limited edition run), AMS front adjustable tension rods, AMS adjustable front upper control arms (FUCA's) rear FUCA Lock-out Kit, and rear HICAS delete kit. With the exception of the HICAS kit (3 years old) all of these components were installed May 2009.
After 4.5 years and over 40,000kms. I'd say they've weathered the test of time and endurance surviving numerous long distance trips like a champ.
