Default Nissan Akebono 14" Brake Kits, Hawk Pads, Stoptech Rotors, 370Z Sport

These kits are now ready for 370Z Non-Sport Models. As we all know, Sport models already have these large brakes on them. It's also nice to know that paying to upgrade to a 14" Big Brake Kit is not gonna cost a Arm and Leg. These Kits are all direct bolt on, no additional hardware needed. The only modification that is required is shaving the dust shields. Stock Brake Lines, or upgraded SS lines will work on these systems.

In the Media, Akebono Kit in Modified Magazine:

Need to check and make sure they will fit your rims? No problem, you can use our Front wheel fitment Template:

Nice find, this seams like a pretty good deal for a BBK. but I'm glad I spent the xtra money for the sport package, for $1500 more you get Syncro Rev, Limited Slip and the 19" Rays, such a deal.

Did you find out pricing on the Stop Tech rotors??

I went to their site, the info says that they are not made by Stop Tech, wonder who the manufacturer is ? Anyway, didn't see any prices there, when you click on buy now, it takes you to a dealer listing. I really like those gold zinc plated ones, wonder if anyone else does a stock size slotted or drilled rotor in the zinc plated?

What link did you click on? It goes straight to the stoptech rotors we have listed in the post, shows the prices also. Stoptech rotors are black coated to prevent rust, and powerslot rotors are cadmium plated. We are also going to have Zinc plated 2pc rotors in a few months.

I was on the Stop Tech website, didn't notice the ad to cart link in your post Any Idea when the rears will be available in the cross drilled or sloted?

All this stuff looks great and it is by far the best bang for buck upgrade for a base 370Z. This morning I stopped by the dealer to ask a favor and they shot me down, maybe you (Coz) could help. I have the base model and this upgrade makes perfect sense. I am trying to figure out if buying these brakes is worth it before I upgrade my wheels. My question is, has anyone test fit these under the base model 18's? I took some rough measurements this morning between the two cars and it appears to be very close, but doable. I just want the peace of mind of knowing they will fit before I decide if my first upgrade is brakes or wheels.

It should fit, but you can use this template to make sure:

I tried the template. It doesn't clear. It's VERY close. It could have just been the way I held the template. We are talking less than a MM to make it fit. It would appear that if you could grind down the outer most corner of the caliper it would clear no problem. I'm a little leery of grinding through that nice powder coat though.

Make sure you use a durable piece of cardboard to get your fitment, 2mm could be the whole difference.

I used a double layer of cardboard. Also lined the lug holes up exactly. It's too close to call.

You'll have to wait until somebody actually does it

The Oz spec 370Z comes with the Akebono brakes kit with the base model 18" wheels. It's a crazy tight fit but its factory and it works.

Thanks for the info. I have always wondered if base rims will clear the sports package (Akebono) brakes).
