There is a cross member right behind where the front Y pipe connects to the center section. There was nearly no clearance there when all the bolts were tightened. My assumption at that point was that perhaps that cross member was unique to the Roadster since it has no roof to stabilize the body but from what I'm reading here it sounds like the exact same problem. I may be wrong though since I haven't seen the underside of the coupe. Most compelling though is that the guy that owns the muffler shop where my brother works (and where I had my brother install the catback) suggested putting washers under the cross frame bolts as a quick fix until I could come back and have the pipes bent a bit. From that I think we are talking about the same darn cross member. If so, what a disappointment.
where did you order it from? i know there was a batch sent out with fitment issues from the start but has been corrected since, I bought mine directly from Stillen.

I bought directly from Stillen as well, about three weeks ago. I guess it is probably an easy thing to fix.

There are some pics in my gallery of the piped and cross member. Does this look like the issue you had? Nissan 370Z Forum - Zfish's Album: Zfish's Album
