Stillen CBE hitting Cross member

Hey guys,

I have the CBE which is hitting the cross member, when I got it installed we made sure we did everything right but we didn't have much luck. I'm just wondering what the best solution to stopping it from touching would be.

cheers

my invidia was doing the same. I got 4 thick washers and put them inbetween the 4 bolts and the crossmember the other day and that has solved the problem. i remember we had to do this on several 350s back in the day too.

Yeah some people mentioned that but I'd prefer not having to move the cross member down a bit, I'd rather rather prop it up by the piping or something..... I have this 'thing' with not wanting to change or modify anything actual car parts which shouldn't have to lol... I might be being anal about it...

I installed stillen CBE - had jacked up tubing per instructions while bolting together- when took jack out dropped down a bit but clears cross member - no hitting at all BUT having read a lot of these posts IF i did have a problem I was just going to bend the mounting bracket that goes into the rubber groumet to lift up the pipe- but I didn't have any problem so left as is
