Default STILLEN Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Dual Intake

Your website says that the G3 intakes will not fit the Nismo. There is someone on here that installed them on his and was able to make them work with very little extra effort. I believe it was moto, but I'll look for the post.

I remember him saying he just had to manually move the vertical plastic barriers a little.

Here's a pic I found:

It's not that they won't fit, it's just not a bolt-on application, and requires some additional modifications, but can be done, several members here have.

It requires removal/modification of an air diffuser / guide plate to the radiator. Presumably this is there for high speed cooling with the longer nose of the Nismo.

We have never tested a Nismo with the plate removed, and can't guarantee there won't be issues with overheating at high speed / track use.

It's more of a precautionary thing on our part. We're not aware of anyone having issues, but until we're able to test it, we don't claim that application for the Gen 3's.

Any update on this issue? Has Stillen confimed any issue with removing the plate?

There are quite a few Nismo's running these without problems, and while we haven't put them through aggressive testing, we don't have any inclination at this point that there would be any problems.

Our engineers have been tied up, and haven't had the chance to add the supplemental step-by-step instructions necessary for the Nismo, which is why we haven't changed the application listing. But there is enough info on this site in the various threads to make this an easy project.

Just wondering what the KN filter number would be for this intake. I want to purchase a wrap and install it with the intake. Just need to figure which of these (K&N Air Filter Wraps) i should get.

Thanks.
