Is it safe for the bottom pipe to be in contact with the AC lines? I did put a rubber tube over the lines though.

The A/C lines us a VERY thin walled aluminum, so metal to metal contact will rub through over time, which is why we recommend rubber or foam insulation, and you'll be fine.
Just ensure that the insulation will for sure not move, it's irritating to have to replace that A/C line and recharge the system. |
