Gotta act fast to get a real orton replacement.

Schaub's asking price was too high. Texans are actually trying to trade him.

I think at this point we'd take anything in exchange. But for some reason he makes a lot of money.

I don't blame the Texans, just any team even considering to go through with that trade.

I can't imagine a gm sitting down with his boss and telling him "I think we'd be a much better team if you would go get me Matt Schaub." :rofl2: Especially when he'll be released soon enough if no one trades for him.

Well the Cowboys could use a 4th QB to compete with Weeden :icon17:

That's not out of the question when Jerry Jones is making the decisions.

Broncos signed Ware. :shakes head:

I hope Jones uses the money he's saving from Ware & Austin to bolster the defense as a whole.

God damn we were awful last year.

My bet is he uses it to give Romo another extension. :rofl2:

Didn't the Cowboys sign Jared Allen yesterday? I somehow doubt he's going to be averaging 13 sacks/yr for them (his current career avg).

Wouldn't put it past him.

Romo isn't the entire problem. A lot of the turnovers this year were the receivers fault and the losses the [lack of] defense's fault.

We either need to just tank a couple of seasons and get draft picks, or spend like a mofo. This perpetual mediocrity does nothing for us.

Did they?!

I haven't been keeping up.

I just saw a tweet on FB about Ware.

I'm not in NFL mode at all. I won't be until about August.

Yeah, but as long as Jerry insists on being the GM the Cowboys will be an 8-8 team at best. The last time they were worth a damn they had a coach who wasn't a puppet and they built through the draft. Now, Jerry is trying to be the second coming of Al Davis.

I swear I saw it on the NFL Network when I was home for lunch yesterday.

**edit** nevermind... he's just in discussion... visiting them today.

Haboob 03-18-2014 09:38 AM

Looks like Allen is just set to visit. Hasn't signed according to the Cowboys' website.
