At least 30 million quid. I'd say Man City or Real Madrid can buy him easily. Barcelona have ruled themselves out.

RvP a long time ago said his dream was to play for Arsenal or Barcelona. He was a kid back then, but I'd like to think he's living his dream right now. He could stay. Poldi is a good start, but we need more. If Kroenke opens up the war chest for AW, we could strengthen and be challengers. We are better organized than Man City, and we've proven even with a **** squad we can hang with them.

I saw that video of when V. Persie said his dream was to play for Barca or Arsenal... maybe you posted it earlier in this thread ?.?.

Yeah, the new guys definitely needed time to mesh this season, and still do next year.
I don't think Gervinho ever got into very good form. Mertesacker got injured, unfortunately.
Arteta did really well, as did Chamberlain as the season went on. I like seeing Spanish style in the midfield: maybe it reminds me of Fabregas a bit

I'm excited to see us compete w/ both Manchester teams next season. As long as Wenger is more organized and settled w/ his squad, we should be able to beat any team in the league.

Drogba is leaving Chelsea, huh?

Nails the winning penalty, and then it's "So long and thanks for all the fish"?

Im pretty upset about this. When I saw wherehe was being transfered to I was like  Shanghai something or other. Never even heard of them. Then again I dont follow K League or whatever league it is. Now Torres really needs to step up.

Gah, we're being linked with DeJong now, nasty nasty player. I'd almost liken him to a better, more athletic version of Joey Barton. A thug to say the least, but maybe thats the kind of steel we've been needing in front of the defense? Word is, Rennes are asking a stupid amount for M'Vila and DeJong is the alternative, thoughts?

Red370 05-29-2012 03:07 AM

and how about Chelski? Marin AND Hazard? never realized you guys ran out of options on the wings... Your Defense has been shyt, you'd think you'd reinforce there before adding to your striking options...

cow 05-29-2012 11:51 AM

If Nigel De Jong is an option, why not just start with ten men on the field-- it'll save the team the trouble of having to adjust once De Jong gets sent off.

:rofl2:

Would any of you gooners like to give Arshavin another chance to find his form ? ? I think if he and/or Gervinho can find his form, that could mean a lot of goals ( in the absence of V. Persie (?) )

cow 06-04-2012 11:35 AM

I'm indifferent to Arshavin's "second chance." If he has a good Euro, I wouldn't mind him coming back, but I wouldn't be sad to see the back of him. He was a hugely frustrating figure in his time at the club, but at least he was always a funny interview.

phelan 06-08-2012 12:34 PM

holy **** szczesny is not exactly covering himself in glory in the euros right now

cow 06-08-2012 05:43 PM

His back line didn't make it easy for him. "Tytań" is the best name for a keeper ever, though.
