ooooh, i defer my decision until after the transfer window.

blue660r01 06-02-2011 01:27 AM

Tough right! I told him if Bayern get a CB then they should deff be able to handle Milan. Keep in mind Gomez has been on FIRE, and they finally got a legit GK. If Robben is healthy unlike last season then forget it. Mark my words, you are seeing the rise of a dominant Bayern era!

We both agreed though that Barca is hands down the best though. Especially if they get Rossi :( :( :( This Barca team is the best in history of the game

phelan 06-02-2011 01:32 AM

What's scary is if they actually can pony up the cash and get El Capitan from Arsenal. Fabregas to spell Xavi? A rested Barca team in La Liga and the UCL? Good Lord, what a nightmare, nobody would stop them! Rossi and Villa up front...oh wow.

Bayern are ridiculous in the transfer window so far, and it's really great to see them coming back. However, with AC Milan, I don't think we've seen them at their best, even if they did win the league. Ibra was miserable at the end of the season, Robinho when I've watched did not have big impacts. But they STILL found ways to win comfortably, with their midfield making huge impacts at all times. Mark MY words, AC Milan are not to be trifled with, especially with a shootist like Ibrahimovic still on the team.

(I'm conveniently avoiding any Arsenal speak right now because I'm mad Nasri isn't signing a damned contract yet, and the team might be entering another decade of trophyless seasons)

Robin Van Persie slams Spain and Chelsea 'bitching' - ESPN Soccernet

Quote:

"People who are watching the game on television and fans really do not want to see these kind of things. If you want to witness a lot of complaints, you should just go the bakery or something. There's always people nagging there as well.
hahahaha, one of the many reasons why robin is still my favorite player on the squad.

I don't get it, HSV is my natural enemy? JTT, I'm a Gunner, so unless you're from Tottenham, I don't mind :p

blue660r01 06-02-2011 12:15 PM

He's right!

Jon@AAMComp 06-02-2011 01:15 PM

Love how Van Persie comes straight to Chelsea when it comes to an EPL team to complain about. He has a point, but before he goes calling people out, it happens in every game, every foul, every team in the top flight. United do it, Liverpool do it, and if there's ANY team in the English Premier league who love to complain about officiating, it's Arsenal.

The man has a point though, it irritates me when players swarm the officials to try to encourage them to make the calls they feel is appropriate. Spanish clubs do this better than anyone, but it's an ugly part of the game that everyone participates in. You guys still reading ESPN? I'd stick with the Telegraph, World Football, and Kicker.

JTT might have a problem with me considering I support St.Pauli. :stirthepot:

RvP just hates you guys in Blue :icon17:

Wtf, Mark Hughes just resigned as Fulham coach?

Oooooh, van Nistelrooy on the move into La Liga, he should have something left in the tank for there!

Jon@AAMComp 06-02-2011 03:50 PM

Villa calling for Mark Hughes; quitting the Fulham job is not a huge surprise. Ruud boy going to Malaga though...

Some scathing words from Casillas regarding the quality of the Manchester United side in the CL Final:

Real Madrid's Iker Casillas: we would have thrashed Manchester United too in Champions League final - Telegraph
