I found this earlier.... Former Teammate Massa recently said Schumacher is showing signs of improvement and " responses" during a recent conversation he had with Schumacher at his bedside. A loss of enormous talent in spatial reasoning -- not all genius is expressed in traditional arts or sciences.
I am rarely moved by "celebrity" deaths/incidences of severe injury (particularly those who have made dubious contributions to culture or society) over the misfortunes experienced any other poor person, but Shumachaer was a genuinely gifted individual who was fortunate enough to express that talent to it's fullest, and to distinguish himself from among a very short list of other highly gifted men and women. My best wishes to him and his family.
