Yeah silva is really really good lol this fight just gets to show you how bad of a boxers most mma fighters are. I still put GSP ahead just a tiny bit at the no.1 just cause GSP has fought the best on his division. But i think that's going to change soon i want a Machida/Rampage vs Silva.

Anyways, people argue that Spider is excelling in a division outside his native weight class(MW) but

1. He's a big MW that naturally walks around at 220.
2. So far Spider's fought James Irvin(lol) and an ex-champion(Forrest) that hasn't even defended the belt in LHW whereas Penn fought 2 dominating WW champions at the time.

I agree. Silva is a large MW but I don't think that means as much considering a lot of the LHW are cutting just as much as he is, Forrest especially.

I think the biggest difference between Silva's foray into LHW and Penn's into WW is the skill level you pointed out. Penn has stepped into a larger class against very dominant champions, Silva has not.

Yeah as much as BJ is hated in the MMA world the guy has fought big talented fighters machida,gsp and hughes those are some really really good fighters. Silva still hasn't fought a single fighter with the caliber of those three with the debatable exception of rich franklin.

LOl yeah man i was like WTF on griffin i've seen him take shots way harder than that.
