I don't disagree but they did beat Ohio State and Notre Dame on the road this year. Just sayin.

true but if you look at how the ducks beat them and how bad ohio state and notre dame are getting then you really have to give credit to the better teams in your conference. i.e. oregon

Pushing_Tin 11-03-2009 10:50 PM

Bottom line is we need a real playoff system. I'd love to see Boise or TCU play some real teams all year. Remember what happened to Hawaii a year or two ago, ugly.

:iagree::iagree::iagree: And Boise St 2 years ago, and Utah 3 years ago.

I would like to take some time now to tell Cow that his LSU tigers looked vey bad against Florida and Alabama, and on a side note, i would also like to remind all of you that the gators are still undefeated and #1 in the nation. Thank you for your time. :tiphat:

blue660r01 11-08-2009 12:37 PM

They will be ok :p

Cant wait till the game!!!

Pushing_Tin 11-15-2009 02:32 AM

Florida was not impressive against an unranked team today. I think they would have a tough time against any in the top 10 right now.

Florida_GATOR 11-15-2009 05:56 AM

LSU was in the top ten...georgia was pretty close to the top 10....

Georgia was not even ranked dude. Get a clue. I am a Gators fan, and have been one for 13 years or so, ever since I was little. I will say the Gators are flirting with disaster. I honestly think Urban Meyer needs to bench Tim Tebow. The team has played like crap ever since he has been back from his concussion. I have noticed a huge difference in how he plays and it's pathetic. If he is even considered for Heisman it's a joke. No one that has 12 td passes, and like 5 int's deserves heisman consideration. I personally say put in back up Danny Brantley, from his numbers this year, they are pretty good. Remember, I am a Gators fan. I will say that whatever bowl game Florida plays in, they will get destroyed. This is realistically speaking.

Pushing_Tin 11-15-2009 02:11 PM

No doubt that Florida is a good team, I just don't think they are playing great right now, and not worthy of #1. No haterade, just basing that on what I saw yesterday. Stanford is kicking some a$$ right now.

Hey bro, Its John Brantley, not Danny Brantley. Get a clue. I guess im the only one who has noticed the gators are UNDEFEATED in the SEC. Which is by far the best confrence in the nation. The gators have looked very rough through a lot of games...but they still win. Tim Tebow has made a few bad decisions....but they still win. The games come down to the wire...BUT THEY STILL WIN. Before this season started, or any season, if i asked you would it be a cake walk to go through the SEC undefeated would you have said yes? If you know anything about college football you would have said no because even the worst teams in the SEC still can play like the #1 team in the nation due to the amount of talent we have. You sound like one of those kids that said we would get crushed by ohio state, and we would get burned by oklahoma. This is just realistically speaking.

Pushing_Tin 11-15-2009 06:29 PM

A win is a win, but again a number one powerhouse should not struggle against unranked teams.

And I do not agree that the SEC is the best conference. Pac-10 has 4 teams in the top 25 right now. Again it's too bad there isn't a real playoff system to really answer some of these questions.

First off, :iagree: with the playoff system, it would make things ALOT better.
But as for the Pac-10 being better? i dont see it. They are having a good run this year...but thats this year. Look at the past few years the SEC has dominated. We have a larger talent pool to pull out of in the south which helps alot.

alright so we can keep this thread going lol i am a georgia fan (blah i know i hate how we are playing) yes i agree most non top 10 teams in the SEC could play top team 10 teams and win but Florida has slowly started to decline with every game that they play, thats not taking away from the fact that they are still a phenom in the SEC but they have yet to play any of the other top ten teams other than LSU and they did in fact win but if they were to play alabama or texas i think i would have to give it to the either of those two teams due to how well they play each and every week (ingram and shippley are freakin animals) only time will tell who the best team is and for now it seems as alabama is the best IMO but to each his own team. i at least know my team aint the best :roflpuke2:

Well said, i agree that florida has been on a decline since the begining of the season, but i also dont think Bama is as good as people thing, did anyone watch them play LSU? there quarterback struggled badly, they also look confused at times....one thing florida does have going for them is the D. And when the two titans of the SEC collide on December 5th ( Bama and Florida) I think its going to be a very good game, like last year, but i dont see Bama winning it and the reason why is that yes florida has not been playing up to par...but we still have tremendous talent at nearly every position...its just if we can all get on the same page that determines how the game goes. If florida comes out with fire and determination, i dont see a team in the nation that can stp them.

:iagree: about the D joe haden, brandon spikes and crew are the best in country no doubt but its that D that wins there games and if they have an off day against alabama and their run game (not pass game at all) then i bet bama can pull out a win.

I don't know, Stanford is looking really good right now and Oregon State has had some blowouts too. It may come down to our "Civil War" which is Oregon State vs Oregon here in Eugene for a trip to the Rose Bowl!

Florida_GATOR 11-15-2009 08:14 PM

LOL come on, stanford? its just USC is that bad...not stanfords that good IMO. But yea, if either team has a off day in the championship game its gonna be rough. But either way its gonna be a fight to the death! I just hope we play texas in the championship, im tired of them bitching and whining saying they deserve a shot. Same with USC, but thats not gonna happen lol.

Dude Toby Gerhart is turing into a monster, watch for him on the Heisman short list.

Personally I'd like to see BSU or TCU play you guys. I get tired of these piss ant conferences going undefeated and talking sh*t. Well yeah you played a bunch of sucky worthless teams except for two games and you want to play with the big boys? I don't think so. I'd love to see Florida hang 60 points on BSU and then see what they have to say.

I give it to Cincinnati, just becasue there a little more explosive..they have that instant big play capability.
