I'm not really expecting much acting with outside FA or trades. Ed Reed would be the only possibility IMO if he doesn't resign with the Ravens. For the Pats it's more about figuring out what to do with their big 3 FA's: Welker, Talib, and Vollmer. I think one of them will be leaving, but not sure who. If Welker or Talib leave, their replacement will probably be drafted in the 1st round this year. Though I think we will end up trading out of the 1st round with some team in the top of the 2nd round for more picks.

Think the Ravens are in for a rebuilding season or five.

Worth it, though.

Well as long as Flacco and Rice keep playing consistently well, they should still be contenders every year.

Unless they sign flaco to a huge deal that limits their money movement for other players to help out.

supposedly the two sides are exchanging phone calls and setting up to resume negotiations from where they left off before the season started last year. All in all, its in the Ravens Best interest to get the deal done. because right now, they have little to no room to sign anyone else. once they sign him to a contract, it gives the Ravens a little more breathing room. not much but more than they have with Flacco and no contract.

Flacco will probably become the highest paid NFL player. The Ravens will have to cut some players, but they still have enough important pieces in place to keep them as perennial contenders. All they need to do is make it to the playoffs and them get on a hot streak like every team that's won the Super Bowl for the last couple years.

I think the Jets cuts today cleared up like $30M of cap space for next season.

they cleared 7.15 million with Scotts release, giving them a total of 30 million cap space if I read that report right lol

daisuke149 02-19-2013 09:23 PM

There's gonna be a clause in his contract saying that he must be the Jets' starting QB every year that he is still alive.
