Alex Smith trade "all but signed" according to ESPN but they don't know where he's headed. KC maybe?

All the rumors point to KC so far.

Tom Brady agrees to a 3 year and very team friendly contract extension with the Patriots. It was a $27M deal that saves the team $15M in cap money over the next 2 seasons. He'll be on the team until he's 40. This looks like the team is making space to sign Welker and/or Talib to an extension.

I'm convinced they're paying him under the table or something.

We could hope they've finally realized that $9 million a year is MORE than enough to live however they'd like.

Well the $27M is fully guaranteed and most likely allows them to sign his best friend Welker too. He's set to make $60M guaranteed for the remainder of his contract, which runs through 2017.

Endorsements and jersey sales go a long way.

Plus his wife makes a lot.

b1adesofcha0s 02-25-2013 10:01 PM

I think he's more concerned about getting another SB ring than having the biggest QB contract at this point.

I've realized I'm basically Tom Brady.

I'm amazing, good-looking, and despite bringing home a decent salary, my wife makes twice as much as I do.

b1adesofcha0s 02-26-2013 09:58 AM

Well Rex Ryan is pretty much doomed anyway unless he pulls a miracle out of his fat azz and gets the team to the playoffs next season.

Well not like it was going anywhere being a back up in SF. At least he'll make more money this way. I think this gives the Chiefs a good chance of doing way better than last year. :p

Ni55anPat 02-27-2013 12:12 PM

Good for the Chiefs, they maybe a surprise team next year.

b1adesofcha0s 02-27-2013 12:18 PM

If Peyton Manning plays healthy, Denver is still taking that division next year.
