There is a chance the Pats bring back Lloyd at a lower salary, but they are also looking at making an offer to Emmanuel Sanders from the Steelers.

Dumervil said he's interested in possibly playing for Miami, but no one's heard of any specific interest from the Dolphins yet.

I know the Ravens are trying to make a point to talk to him at some point, but not sure if mutual.

I think it would be hilarious if Belichick came in and picked him up.

yay for the tuck rule abolishment

double boo for the crown rule.

One step forward, two steps back. Haven't these guys ever played before? You are supposed to lower yourself as a runner as much as possible. :shakes head:

Might as well be playing frickin soccer. BS!

I guess the only thing we can hope for is they enforce the crown rule as an explosion of force initiating contact. Lowering yourself in expectation of contact should be perfectly legal regardless of where initial contact is made (i.e. crown of helmet makes contact and continues in the same direction - typically downward). If they're going to have this rule, it should be limited to the running backs who lower the head and then explode upwards into a defender (i.e. crown of helmet makes contact and turns upward as the ball carrier lunges forward into the defender).

Regardless, this rule is fvcking stupid, and I think they're going to have a hell of a time enforcing it in questionable scenarios. Oh and good riddance, tuck rule :hello:

Goodell did say in a interview some time ago that his greatest fear is someone dying on the field. :shakes head: god forbid that ever happen but you know it does get to a point where all these rules are going to make the game unable to watch due to its patty cake methods.

You mean it'd be more entertaining to watch? :stirthepot:

What they really need to do is remove the pads and helmets, like rugby players, and the players will learn how to hit/tackle properly without getting hurt.
