17 consecutive years of losing takes its toll. :icon17:

I'm still relatively fresh to the NFL addiction. It only seems to get worse and worse for me every year. I think this will be season #5 that I will watch completely for me.

Haboob 09-03-2013 07:15 PM

Oh, I watch all of it, no doubt, but still... I don't get excited like others do. It's not my favorite sport so... yeah.

Brian Urlacher says that the Bears faked injuries during his career...

Brian, have you ever looked at a Patriots injury report? Pretty much everyone is listed. Brady has been listed just about every week of his career... So, um, say it ain't so?

oh lawd. sat it aint so! :icon17: everyone should know that by now. :bowrofl:

Haboob 09-04-2013 04:27 PM

Yeah, but is he saying it like that or that they faked them while on the field, aka diving/flopping/faggotry?

The Patriots don't fake those injuries. They just report every tiny thing as a possible injury so that there's never any concern over an injury that was not disclosed on the injury report. Of course most of those "injuries" are meaningless and won't prevent players from playing, but they are not fake. :tiphat:

As someone who trains in MMA, I can assure you that wrestling is definitely real :icon17:

I think there's a difference between what the Patriots do and what Urlacher is mentioning here. Putting a player on the injury report is way different the flopping in the middle of a drive to slow down the offense.

Haboob 09-05-2013 08:53 AM

Guess I won't be watching tonights game. :/

A friend called and had an extra ticket to the ASU game tonight, which includes food and such.

So I'm still watching throwball, just college throwball. Can't pass up free.

Yeah, after the draft, that was my pick.

Though, it always seems to be someone else that sneaks in.

Sleeper Outside picks (in order):

NFC - Atlanta, GB, Wash (if they can keep RGIII from being killed), Dallas (if we've fixed our O line and Romo has fixed his mechanics/brain), Lions

AFC - NE, Houston (provided they can stay healthy), Cinci, SD.

and no way dallas gets anywhere with Romo I don't like him at all, seems like a cry baby

b1adesofcha0s 09-05-2013 10:17 AM

Not sure you can call NE, ATL, or GB "sleeper" picks.

Well, I don't think they'll make it. So, "outside" picks then?

ATL choked last year, GB won't make it until they can establish a run game and a defense, and NE might have a better shot now that they've excommunicated that fag Tebow, but they don't have much of an offense (at least no big names, but they never have before - when they did, they choked).

I don't like him that much either, but unfortunately we're stuck with him. He has the potential, as always, but maybe with a better O line he can get it done. He has the receivers to do it, and if Murray stays healthy we can run a bit.

He's not a cry baby though. You're thinking of Cutler.

Isn't Cutler statistically the best QB the Bears have ever had?

That's not saying much though.

He's a cancer to the team. Something goes wrong, he bitches about it and yells at said player.

He does something wrong, he sits on the bench and laughs at it.

It's never his fault.

We'll see. If he gets more than a half second to throw to somebody other than Marshall, he might do alright. It's a contract year, so he might actually care somewhat.

I guess my standard for Chicago QB is pretty low, Hell, they went to the Super Bowl with Rex ******* Grossman.

Sexy rexy is a team player. Jay Cutler is a douche.

A team player, but an awful quarterback. Cutler is a douche, but he's got an arm. Either way, they're playing for second in their division at best. They could easily be third. Or fourth, if the Vikings just start snapping the ball to Petersen and cut Ponder out of the loop entirely.

Haboob 09-05-2013 10:54 AM

"The snap to Peterson. Peterson drops back, fakes the hand off to Peterson, tosses it up... Aaand Peterson with the grab. The 20, the 10... TD!"

:bowrofl:
